As always I ask my co-workers for a little help testing these products out as we all go through the ringer together at work and it’s nice to get a different take on the products.
Formulated with Pro-Retinol and Centella Asiatica, the L’Oréal revitalift Revitalift Daytime cream feels rich and luxurious and smoothed over my skin easily. And as as I have
relatively dry skin, it instantly felt great right away and it still felt hydrated and softer than normal even after a long shift at the restaurant. Speaking of that, part of the job is serving outside
most of the day (thank you COVID) so the fact that this cream also has a built in SPF 25 was a big benefit to me, no extra sunscreen to put on!
After using it for about 3 weeks now, I can definitely see a reduction in some of my wrinkles (mostly around my eyes and the dreaded “crows feet” area) and I am convinced the extra sunscreen helped as a preventative measure.

Thank you all for the information about the printers! I decided not to get that one and your comments helped tip the scales, while mostly used for basic office and document printing I think I’d like to have a reliable printer that doesn’t eat up the ink (as you’ve all stated, it ain’t cheap!) So I’ll do a bit more research and not just impulse buy that one because it’s on sale.

We’re doing just fine. Though I did give in to temptation folks…
On my weekend update post I was talking about the Bodum 3 piece set and how it might be overkill to buy… Well I bought it today.
My partner saw it on the post and said something along the lines of “ohhhh, well that’s nice! Me like-y” (or something to that degree) So when I was in today that ran through my head and in the cart it went. (seeing as we’ve had a few “other brand” french presses break over the last few years a back-up isn’t a bad idea & a back-up grinder/kettle isn’t a bad thing either.)
This being said, the Cuisinart coffee grinder we’ve had for 13 years will still be the preferred grinder for coffee unless… (and again some help is welcomed here.)
Is this a good idea?
I saw that this was coming up and was kind of thinking about it, but time went by so fast I didn’t look into it. Is this better than a small grinder? Will it make the new grinder completely irrelevant? Will this revolutionize the coffee we drink in the morning??
Please give me your thoughts here folks. I’m thinking that the good ‘ol grinder we have is doing the trick quite well personally, and it takes up less counter space too. Big win there.
Speaking of big wins, you really can’t go wrong watching Ghostbusters which is what we did on Saturday night!
It’s really a classic in my mind & the sarcastic humor throughout probably explains my current dry/sarcastic sense of humor.

I have had this grinder for almost a year now. I have to say it works. I make approximately 6-8 cups in the perk coffee maker and on the corse setting it seems to be good. It’s very sensitive in the sense that of the catcher/ container isn’t in right it will not work. I grind my coffee fresh every day. It is very loud and wakes everyone up unless I do it the night before. I’m sure other burr grinders are better out there but this is decent if you just need ground coffee and are not too particular.

Have you ever bought those Chocolates Chunk Frozen Raw Cookies? They are in a cardboard box and are in the freezer section. They are around $23.00. We bought a box of them and I put them in freezer bags. They layer nice in the freezer in the large freezer bags. They are really good, you can bake as many as you want at a time. Put them on your cookie sheet and 15 minutes later you have fresh baked cookies. So much cheaper than buying them already baked. Nice to have on hand.
Thanks for everything you do! FWIW – Your Cuisinart coffee grinder is better. The Bodum grinder is better for things like chopping nuts and/or grinding spices depending on how low the blades travel . You should get much better uniform consistency out of the Cuisinart. Bodum is fine in a pinch, just takes more work to evenly distribute the beans to get consistency for the French Press. I have nothing but good things to say about Bodums French presses. Having a backup is a great idea. My wife and I use ours when we are camping.

My kids eat them raw, and cooked up you can make them in 13 minutes. If you’re careful, you can even microwave a piece to make 1 cookie in 37 seconds. Love them. They taste buttery and are preportioned into 100 or so pieces (good for parties too).

I’m really disappointed with the coffee grinder for two things: noisy like hell (be kind to your neighbors’ ears and enough to become deaf of hearing) and it doesn’t do the job when selecting the “fine grind”; I’ve had to take the ground coffee batch to my other “cheapo” 20$ coffee grinder to get it finer as there was many coarse grains that weren’t ground previously. I’m still very happy with the Coffee Maker though! Have a great week and stay safe. 🙂

I finally made it out to Costco last Sunday, crowds weren’t that bad, most people well behaved.
Unfortunately, I encountered the dreaded “out of toilet paper” experience. I really should have purchased some when they were all stocked up. They take up half the cart though and don’t fit well on the bottom rack of the cart.
Has anyone tried Costco same day delivery through Instacart? At least you can get perishables through that service although they add quite a few “delivery/service” fees.
I’d appreciate any comments on this. With winter coming, I’m going to have to try a delivery service. Thanks for any input! 🙂
When we were looking for a good coffee grinder, research (both online and a former barista niece) said that a “burr” grinder is far superior to “blade” grinders for consistency of grind, which results in a better cup of joe. The best relatively affordable one was the Bodum Bistro and even it doesn’t get consistently positive reviews. They are messy to use due to static electricity…. sometimes the fine grounds fly everywhere and the little glass container that holds the ground coffee is extremely delicate. It broke almost immediately after a slight bump so we had to order a replacement. That said, it’s worked great and handles the daily grind of those tasty Verona beans. Hope this helps!

I use a Cuisinart – 12-Cup Fully Automatic Burr Grind & Brew Thermal Coffee Maker daily for years now. What I love about it is the built in burr grinder and hopper for my fresh coffee beans. Yes it does wake up the dead when the grinder turns on, but over time we have become accustom to it. It signals that coffee is on and will be ready in 5-10 in our household…lol.
The burr grinder will burn out if you don’t do the maintenance on it. You need to clean the grinder area with a brush and I do it every second time I fill the hopper. I love the Zavida Hazelnut coffee beans (on sale now). They have lots of oil in them and it’s one reason to make sure you clean your hopper on a regular basis. The other thing I love about this coffee maker is the thermal pot. I can keep coffee for hours and it still tastes amazing. It doesn’t keep cooking the coffee if it were on a burner type coffee maker.
I can’t tell you how much money we have saved making our delicious coffee at home and putting it in our Contigo coffee mugs to go and have at work. No lines at the drive- thru coffee shops, coffee stays nice and warm and safe from spills if ever it falls over. Hope this helps someone with a decision to make.
For what it is worth, the Savanna Club Mix (which BTW is really great) was selling at $15.49 at my local Costco (Downsview). Now I have seen instances where the sign on the display is wrong and the checkout price is what your photos show, so took it to the checkout anyway. It rang up at the original price, so told cashier that I would not take it and showed him your photo. He called over a supervisor and she adjusted the price to $9.97 as shown in your photo.
So it might be worth a try if the price in this blog is lower than at you store, to show it to the cashier. You never know.
