And here we go, into August… I can’t believe we’ve made it here (in what seems like) such a short period of time. Obviously it was the same amount of time as any other year, but as we all must be aware, this isn’t any other year.

I am disappointed that I have not seen any Halloween items yet… But again, this is a different year so delays must be expected.

Jeez.. Good thing I’m not Liz Lemon.

I’m certainly not as bored as Alec is, I just wish the seasonal stuff would roll in!

Costco has been keeping me on my toes as usual with new monthly sales, updated holiday hours and of course new weekend sales items.

Speaking of new items I was greeted by a plethora of amazing perennials in my warehouse today, from Hydrangeas to echinachea to lavender… I packed my cart full of them, literally. (so much so I broke a flower off a hydrangea and feel bad… Sorry buddy) Also some Daisies, so basically my cart was full of big bushy flowers and by the end; cheese. Flowers and cheese, what else do you need really?

Cats, that’s what else you need.

Nothing really can slow you down and make you appreciate everything around you like a cat who just wants to sit on the porch.

Well Ill leave you with the sleepy kitties.

Or if you really want, take a peek at the sales Costco has for us the weekend.

Or both!!!

As we are all getting back to normal I think it’s important to remember that we’re not out of the weeds yet, and each province has their own Health recommendations based on the provinces individual risk assessment and I would recommend that you follow the recommendations for your specific province. Information can be found at the following websites.

Ontario COVID-19 information

Quebec COVID-19 information

Newfoundland COVID-19 information

P.E.I. COVID-19 information

New Brunswick COVID-19 information

Nova Scotia COVID-19 information

So there you go, a little reading material for you.

Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.

If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.

***This is a fan run, independent page with no affiliation or endorsement by Costco Wholesale***

The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!

  1. I think you have an incorrect price and item match for the displayed Muskoka Chair. The Timber Ridge folding chair is made of vinyl and is rather cheap looking. The Muskoka Chair in the photo doesn’t fold, and it much more expensive than $37.99.

  2. Happy Saturday!

I agree with you, what’s better than flowers, cheese and fur babies. Can’t wait to get to my Costco and stock up.

Thanks very much for the update, much appreciated!

Enjoy the long weekend everyone, stay safe 🙂

  3. Hey there, are those bright orange red flowers Echinacea by any chance? If so, I have a very similar one and this year, some of the blooms have reverted to the original pinky purple on the same plant.Weird but pretty! Now I regret not looking further when I was there earlier this week.
The pic of the Mediterranean pasta salad has inspired me to make some, especially since the ingredients are listed right there. I would prob add some albacore chunk tuna for more flavour. And of course, sweet onion! Thanks for the inspiration!
    Cheers & chill, Jan

  4. Me again. But not a double post this time 🙄!
Further to the discontinued peanut butter cookies, I called my warehouse to see if any other locations still have them and was advised it’s company wide.
The only thing we can do is fill out a comment card which I’ll be doing for sure! Can I encourage y’all to do the same? Hopefully we can “encourage” a reconsideration but I won’t hold my breath! 😝
    Thanks, Jan

  5. Ha-ha! Unlike you, I saw Hallowe’en costumes at my local Costco this week and thought, “What the ??? It’s too early!”
    Thanks and enjoy your weekend!

  6. I got excited about the Muskoka chairs since I just bought 8 the other day. I was going to return them and get the lower price but I think the sign in the picture does not belong with the chair in the picture?

  7. Nooo! Not Halloween stuff yet!!
Can’t think about Halloween if they are still selling plants!

Love the pictures of Dexter and Ewok ❤️❤️
Hope work isn’t too crazy busy for you.
    Thanks for your efforts
