Well we made it through the chilly weekend in one piece and were gifted some delicious summer weather today!

We both made it through a crazy weekend of “getting back to work” in one piece, though you kind of forget what it’s like to run your butt off for 9 and a half hours… I’m sore and tired! But it is amazing how the muscle memory kicks in and all the steps you take to open/serve/close come back real quick.

The Peonies also made it through!

So pretty!

Flowers aside; Costco sales have blossomed as well, offering up 135 sale items this week!

A wide range of sales from Apple Watch 5 series 44mm for $41.00 off,  to Duracell “AA” batteries 48 pack $5.00 off, to Kirkland signature multivitamins Mens/Womens $4.00 off @ 12.99.

Just the tip of the Costco-Iceberg as usual, but I’ll let you discover the Gems!

Speaking of Gems, Ewok has discovered his under the shelter of a deck plant (he loves “hiding” under plants like this)

Speaking of plants, Our Costco has taken down the garden center already, don’t know if that’s the same for all of you or not but we’re done. Poop…

I guess we’ll have to look for Halloween stuff now right??

Well, perhaps Church lady… But not by much… We all know my favorite holidays are coming up, COVID-19 or not. And you can bet that while the aisles are stocked full of the wonderful summer goodies, we’re only a few months away from the “other” stuff…

Anyhow it’s bedtime. The workweek starts as usual tomorrow so back at it in the a.m. Just like it was in…. March. Lot’s of rust to shake off, lots.

On that note good night folks.

As we are all getting back to normal I think it’s important to remember that we’re not out of the weeds yet, and each province has their own Health recommendations based on the provinces individual risk assessment and I would recommend that you follow the recommendations for your specific province. Information can be found at the following websites.

Ontario COVID-19 information

Quebec COVID-19 information

Newfoundland COVID-19 information

P.E.I. COVID-19 information

New Brunswick COVID-19 information

Nova Scotia COVID-19 information

So there you go, a little reading material for you.

As always wash your hands with soap and water often, pet cats & tell them they’re cute… OK dogs too, they can be kinda cute & funny as well.

Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.

If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.

***This is a fan run, independent page with no affiliation or endorsement by Costco Wholesale***

The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!

  1. Thanks so much for doing all this for us week after week and especially through the pandemic! It is appreciated! I love your peonies.

    • Thank you Tracey, they’re so pretty and smell delicious too!
Thank you for reading and supporting, stay safe!

  2. Hey there Costco Comrades! Anybody tried those mushroom crisp thingies? Sounds interesting but I’m not so sure…..
I remember that Chippendales bit on SNL. Chris Farley was hilarious! Both are such a sad loss.
PB cookies and Verona coffee on discount again this week? Yay! Gotta get me some more!!
Hang in there with all your work. And know you are highly appreciated by all of us here.
Stay safe out there y’all. 😎

      • Uh oh….. guess I gotsta grab me some tomorrow. Thanks Violeta! Could turn out to be another “gotta have it”!! 😂

    • I know, coffee and cookies??? That’s a solid start to the day right there!
I like the mushroom crisps, but also love mushrooms. I was just snacking on them right out of the bag, but they go really well in saladas.
I loved those SNL years, I think those were some of the best.
You stay safe too Jan, glad you’re back at Costco. Can’t let your husband have all the fun!

  3. Hello, I always look forward to your excellent blog Tuesday morning. We all really appreciate the time and effort you put into it. You are providing a valuable service!

I finally ventured out to my local Costco last Sunday because I really wanted the Danby dehumidifier. Unfortunately, they were sold out 🙁

I was also shocked to find our garden center had closed down. I have purchased my flower baskets, flowers, perennials from the Costco garden center for years.

Stay safe everyone, keep cool 🙂

    • I was sad to see that our garden center had closed down as well, seems a bit early to me but maybe it was too hard to maintain the COVID protocols???
Stay safe Layla Bay, I”m sure the dehumidifiers will be back soon!

  4. Ohh cr@p! Why you gotta post the PB cookies?! LOL
You know that’s all I’m going to be thinking about for the rest of the night now!!

Ahhh Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze, such a great skit! Afraid the Church Lady is right though, too soon for Halloween! Let’s start summer first!!

Glad you are enjoying being back at work, sure is busy downtown!
Stay safe, pats to Ewok and Dexter and thanks for your post 🙂

    • Haha, sorry Jennifer… You know I had to post those cookies!
Yes, enjoying being back to work but man are there ever alot of people from out of town. “worth the drive from Toronto” is a common phrase heard.
Thank god for masks and sanotizer!

      • Yep, choc chip for my sweetie and pb for moi! Got em today yay. Not sure why the pb’s usually cost more than the others…. btw, they freeze very well too. I put 6 in medium ziplock bags (also on special this week) and into the freezer, bringing out only one bag at a time to keep that yummy fresh baked yummy 😋 taste! And I even reuse the bags too cuz I’m thrifty aka cheap 😉

      • Yes, I’ve been hearing there are a lot of people from Toronto coming to Kingston. Even heard about some people from the US who boated over for the day – where is the coast guard?!
Wouldn’t be surprised if we see some more cases of covid in the next week or so because of it.. hope I’m wrong

  5. Hello all,
For those cookie people, you can ask at the bakery for a frozen box of cookies! Take and bake, there are over 100 cookies for around $23! I have only purchased the chocolate chip one but a lady in Kingston said they have the other flavours too! I take 6-10 out to bake at a time and they are awesome!
Hope this helps someone, my sister got me in them! Cheers.

    • Hmmmm, thanks Jo! I knew that was a possibility but didn’t know it’s individual cookies. I thought it was cookie dough. Unfortunately I only have the bottom freezer on my frig! Maybe a good reason to buy a freezer?!?!? Lol 😂😜

      • Definitely Jan, you can’tgo wrong! We lived off our freezer food for the first two months of this Pandemic. We buy the Costco meat on sale, vacuum seal it and pile it in! Our favourite is the tenderloin and striploin steaks, not to mention the seafood. I think the small cube ones come on sale and you can snap one up for a couple hundred? Although, people are always selling on swap shops too! Good luck 😉
