IMPORTANT RECALL NOTICE – FISKARS 16’ Extendable Pole Saw & Pruner
Model 9440 & 9441 – Item 1107093 & 1263658
Good Morning and happy Monday everybody!
Just a little recall post to get your week started. Fiskars is recalling it’s extendable pole saw & pruners as when extended or not properly secured, the telescoping poles may become separated when the locking mechanism is not fully engaged. This can cause the poles to come apart and fall down, and the saw blade and pruner head to drop, posing a laceration hazard or other serious injuries.
Per Costco.ca “As of December 3, 2020, Fiskars received 2 reports in the United States of the poles separating during use, resulting in laceration injuries involving stitches.”
And the Miami Herald gets the dark humor award for it’s headline. “Over 560,000 pruners recalled after a problem caused the pruning of people’s body parts”
…American newspapers, what else can you say?
This is from the Canadian Government page.
