Hellmann’s real mayonnaise 1.8L -$2.00 @ $5.49 – Never a bad time to get stocked up on Mayo, I mean you can’t make a tuna fish sandwich without Mayo; copious amounts of it… I don’t know how it happens but if you don’t put a lot of mayo in a tuna sandiwedge it just tastes dry, and that is no good… (also, Salt and vinegar and/or dill pickle chips (or spicy Dill pickle Miss Vickie’s chips!) on a tuna sandiwedge are a game changer… If you haven’t tried it trust me, it’s delicious!)

Costco Online bookings for the flu shot are now available!
It’s true folks, you can make an appointment online to get a flu shot at your Costco warehouse during your normal shop, or plan your shopping trip around the flu shot… Either way it’s a win!

As we are headed in to the second wave of COVID-19 and kids are heading back to school I think it’s important to remember that we’re not out of the corona virus weeds yet, and each province has their own Health recommendations based on the provinces individual risk assessment and I would recommend that you follow the recommendations for your specific province. My daughter lives in Oakville and if she wants something on your blog, if her local Costco doesn’t have it she sometimes asks me to pick it up for her.
Excellent as usual. I have one piece of feedback on the Duracell Optimum batteries. My personal experience with the AA version is that they leaked while installed. I had them in some fairy lights and a remote. After more than 1 year I happened to open and found residue at the ends of several. Fortunately the remote was still useable. The fairy lights we just got rid of. I also have regular Duracell AA’s as also shown above and never have an issue with lifespan or leakage. I would never purchase the Optimum ones again.
Thanks for this! Oh how I wish they had smaller jars of Hellmanns! It’s the only mayo I use but that is way too much for even me – a mayo lover – to get through.
Hi Susan, I agree with you about the mayo but hey it’s Costco, lol!! What I don’t like about the big jars is the room they take up in the frig and the messy knife handle reaching into the deep jar. I’ve solved that by waiting til it comes on sale at No Frills for the 455 ml jar @ $2 then buy a whole bunch. Not as good a deal but doable!

Hey Cocoeast Comrades, has anybody tried those frozen croissants? I’m so tempted since they are like a bazillion times cheaper than the individual ones in a bakery shop! And I do love them but maybe having them so easilty available might be problematic? Thanks for any opinions!

I recommend them – imagine warm, buttery croissants at your table. No comparison to Pillsbury!

Hi Denise, I just did mine in the oven on a pan with a wire rack. That helped the heat circulate evenly and crisped it up nicely.

I agree with Kathy. We have also purchased the croissants many times and they are the best! Great with Starbucks Winter Blend coffee.
