Well another glorious summer week has passed, and here I am again with an offering of some fine sales for you.
So, remember how I said last week it seemed like chaos in Costco? I was about to paint lane lines, and re-invent the shopping cart??? Well this week was the complete opposite, much to my surprise! I arrived at roughly the same time, only a few minutes after the doors opened. But it was quiet (well, quiet for Costco) it seemed calm, there weren’t a million people crowding and meandering. It was great! (Maybe they read the post and thought, “hmmm… was that me???”)
Either way, I was in my happy place for a few hours and it was a great shop… Not that I bought too much, a new work shirt, cafe Verona coffee, cherry tomatoes, yogurt, mayo, pickles & SOL “extreme grillers” gluten free veggie burgers… I haven’t seen those there before and those are my partners favorite one’s so that’s perfect! 12 for $14.99 is a price I can’t argue with, and yes, I will be stocking up on those.
Speaking of “the shop” here’s a look at a few of the sales this week.
We had some really pretty flowers in the aisles today as well.
The Lilies and Day lilies I thought were really nice, I’ve always loved the look of the day lilies and they bloom from June-Oct. so that’s a great full season flower; and they’re pretty!
Oh, Also I had wrapped all of that mint up last week, remember?
Oh…Well alright then…
To be honest I haven’t used any of it… Whoops! However it is still looking great! No wilting at all, and it still smells fresh! I’m impressed to say the least, but disappointing that I didn’t use any. What do you all use mint in? salads? drinks?? lamb dishes??? I’d be curious to know so please add a comment or a picture below!
Ok, at this point I think it’s safe to move on. Dexter is yelling at me, and I have a load of laundry to do (chili and tomato stains, gotta be dealt with) and I’d like to chill for a bit before the work week starts. So I’ll leave you with pictures of Dexter and of Ewok.
So with that, good night and happy shopping.
See you next week folks.
Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.
If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.

The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!
Thank you!! Totally going to scoop up a few of those combat protein! Amazing deal!! Also saw the cashews and got excited but noticed the sale price expired the 14th.
Thank you!! To use up some of my mint last week I made a blendy drink with frozen watermelon, mint and water (I already had frozen watermelon, but you could use ice and non frozen if that’s what you have handy). It was very tasty! Lots of watermelon salad recipes also use mint, and I like to add it to my mixed drinks or water for a bit of flavour (vodka, carbonated water, mint and lime is a good combo).
Which veggie burgers? I usually scoop up the box of Yves veggie burgers. Did they have another kind? Will have to look for them!
Thanks for your awesome shopping guide and helping me spend more money LOL
I always look forward to your post and seeing what goodies I will buy this week. Might get some of those beautiful flowers.
Can’t wait to get the Traditions variety pack of ice cream sandwiches, drumsticks etc.. Good way to keep cool in this heat wave.
Stay hydrated everyone and make sure your animals are too please.
Tabbouleh!! I haven’t made any in a looong time and now I *want* it! Lol… it’s so good in the summer when local field tomatoes are available. Have you ever made any? Thanks for your time and work! Stay cool eh, Jan in Waterdown
Anyone have any idea where we can find the Pet Waste Bags at a Costco somewhere between London and Burlington? Used to be able to find these in the stores down this way but haven’t seen them anywhere around this neck of the woods for over a year or so 🙁
Hi KarenB, I just had a further thought for you, next time you’re in Costco, have them check on their computer for your item. They can look it up and tell you what nearby warehouses have it or if it’s no longer available. Good luck!
Found this on Costco.ca. Any chance this is what you’re looking for?

Thank you for sharing Dexter and Ewok. Perhaps a Lemon Mint Orzo Salad for your consideration. It is my go-to and hope you and your partner enjoy it … probably not for the fur babies. Have a great weekend. https://www.rockrecipes.com/lemon-mint-orzo-salad/
I love your blog! Not only because I love Costco – I literally take vacation days sometimes just so I can go during-the-day, during-the-week – but also because I grew up in downtown Kingston and love getting glimpses into your life there. This combined with the fact that I now live in the area of Toronto that you like to visit makes me feel like I know you! (Maybe I do!)
Keep up the good work, I look forward to reading every week!
Thanks so much
Thank you so much for your time and effort. Miuch appreciated,

Thank you so much for doing this. I look forward to seeing it every week ?
Fresh mint keeps well in a vase by the sink. Add it to cold drinks or rub some on your hands after chopping onions or garlic.
hahaha Ewok looks mad. He wants some of your leftover mint. How about a mojito? A great use of mint.
Thanks.

I really like making a pitcher of water with 1 lemon , 1 cucumber and 12 mint leaves. Make at night perfect for next day.

GRR. I went to the Bayers Lake Halifax store to get the protein powder and it was not discounted. Very disappointed.
Thanks! Enjoy your blog….any sign of the roots school bags yet?
Thank you for another excellent review! Dexter and Ewok are such darlings, great to see their cute faces again. ??
Casio scientific calculators are available this week at a great price $9.99

MusclePharm protein powder was not on sale at my costco(Hamilton). Didn’t think a product like that would be region specific.
