This has been a week… A great week, but indeed an exhausting one…
Congratulation to the (you guessed it) Toronto Raptors for winning the NBA championship and bringing basketball back to Canada where it was invented!
I’m not a basketball person, but I love the fact that the only Canadian NBA team kicked butt and managed to bring the title home to Canada, they have earned the big celebration that is currently happening BIG TIME!
Now, let’s all hope the leafs are next… I can dream folks, please don’t take that away from me!

It’s hard to believe it’s June 17th… Fathers day was on Sunday, so HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the fathers out there. I hope it was a good one! We had a great weekend, the In-laws were here for a few days & we had a great time! We went out to dinner on Saturday, and had cooked a great meal on Sunday (with Trout from Costco, and some home grown asparagus from Barrie, ON. that were massive!) Needless to say, it was delicious. And enough for leftovers tonight, again delicious!
At this point I’m drained, I didn’t even get to talk about my car… it’s kind of dying…. Very loudly dying… Perhaps I’ll save that for next week though, see if the band-aids I’ve tried worked…

Twice I used your insider’s secret sale info to create my grocery list and it turned out these items (apart from stuff in the official Costco flyer!) were NOT on sale at my local Toronto Costco!! Such a disappointment! What’s happening?
if you screen shot the things you would like, and show the cashier…they give you the sale price. I shop in Toronto and have never had a problem doing this.

There is nothing available for .97 cents in Costco Actually it means any price ending in .97 cents is on sale. If you do a google search you should find the article I read it on line.
Typically they don’t, prices vary from warehouse to warehouse and some sales are based on clearance or managers specials. Those would not be honored at other locations
They sure wouldn’t honor the $10 off price on Brita water pitchers. They said we can’t honor prices from other locations. I told them it was Kingston. This was a few months ago so I’ve never attempted it again.
Hello Anne, while most sale are consistent throughout Eastern Canada some sales may vary for warehouse to warehouse. I always post in the blog if there are specific items you’re looking for always call to check the price, and availability before you go. Warehouse managers also have discretion over sales as well.

I am based out of ottawa, Kanata Costco is the closest one to my place.
I just bought 36 boxes of Golden Select Charcoal Oak Vinyl Plank from my costco this sunday (3 days ago) @ 35$ per box
Now i see in your picture that the same boxes are 27$ per Box (8$ saving per box)
My question is that I am obviously going to go and see in my costco, if this same discount is available in my store or not.
If Not, Can i go to Kingston Costco and simply ask for a refund.?? or will I have to return these boxes at my costco and then buy them from kingston store at the lower price.??
Definitely go to the customer service desk at your warehouse with a screen shot of the discounted product *before* Sunday June 23 (the end date of the Kingston special) and your receipt! I am sure they will honour that price. My experience has been that the desired results are usually attainable by one’s attitude and the reasonableness of the request. Even with the significant price difference, driving 2 hours each way + gas etc. may not be worth it. Good luck and let us know how it turns out eh?!
You have 2 weeks to ask for a price match. The sale needs to be on, so to take advantage of the price match you would have to visit Costco before Sunday.

Yes I understand that but someone else mentioned that they showed their costco the sale at a different costco and they honored it, so I was wondering if anyone tried this at a Costco in NS.
I think the answer is “maybe”…… it seems to be different from warehouse to warehouse. If it’s a worthwhile amount, give it a try but just be prepared for a “no” since they are under no obligation to do so.
I have found this an issue of late as well. Products not available at my local Costco (in Etobicoke) or the item not on sale.
Few recent examples: Cineplex pass…was onsale here ($3 less) but not on sale at my local; veggie burgers onsale here but not onsale at my local; Olay Outlast body wash, not even stocked at my local Costco.

Not all Costcos have the same pricing all the time. This is covered on his FAQs…
if you screen shot the things you would like, and show the cashier…they give you the sale price. I shop in Toronto and have never had a problem doing this.

I tried this with a blender, and they would not honor the price in Sudbury… it was unfortunate because it was a savings of an additional 30$.

You can ask for a price adjustment instead of refunding. Customer service is usually pretty good with that (ie no questions asked).
