Happy Monday Costco readers! This seems like a good soundtrack for writing, wouldn’t you agree???

Just a few of the great sales available!

I did, at the recommendation of a reader (Ilona) grab 2 of these snow brushes.

Pretty hard to argue with that price and as was pointed out, the quality of these is pretty apparent. Feels heavy and sturdy, plus they’re really long and can reach across your roof without much hassle, never a bad thing! Which leads into the next paragraph…

Well, we finally got hit by a case of the winters…(at least in southeast Ontario) And in we finally got the seasonal weather we should be having here, I guess just the sudden shift to minus 25 hits pretty hard. Hits your car pretty hard too, mine had no intention of starting this morning (It waited until this afternoon and some of that sweet afternoon sunshine to wake it up a little bit) so I had to borrow my partners SUV for the afternoon- always a good time. (not that I went for a joyride or anything!)  I do have to say though, as much as the cold isn’t so much fun the snow is beautiful! I mean if we’re going to have winter (which we are going to have every year) then we may as well have some beautiful scenery instead of cold, dull, blech… I don’t know, it seems like that snow filled scenery just looks like so much fun! but if you didn’t feel like going out for a snowball fight, you could justify staying in and enjoying being cozy (and not feeling guilty…not that I ever feel guilty about not going out, I’m past that point now) So yes, Beautiful snow, bitter cold… Proper winter. Welcome back!

Though with winter being back, I noticed that Costco has started placing a few summer items out… Getting a jump on things I suspect? I saw a few B.B.Q.s out and some summer decor making a few appearances… Also some winter items being put on clearance, seems like again, getting a jump on the season that is still 5 months away. BUT… If you need a grill now, Costco has you covered! And the propane prices are ridiculously low!!! I guess we’ve reached that point in winter where we need to look for the promise of summer to get through, fair enough, but I still love winter…

It’s been a pretty boring week I’d say… Nothing out of the ordinary, back to usual work schedules (hurray!) I am actually ok with that, as a creature of habit having that day-to-day routine is a comfort for me and am happy to get back to it (breaking habits once in a while is OK too, just to be clear).  I didn’t go to any hockey games this week (unfortunately, though my team has been doing less than spectacular lately…) I did go to my staff Christmas party tonight (yes I know it’s Jan 21st) which was fun! Though we left early, a few drinks, some food and good company… What more could you ask for? It was great! (and not too much fun, so work won’t be tough tomorrow. I am somewhat responsible!)

So, with all that being said, I’m ready for bed… Work is creeping up at less than 8 hours away and I’m not convinced my car will even start at that point (the cold being the way that it is) so… I think bed time is now.

Sorry I didn’t have any crazy GIF’s or pictures of the cats… But rest assured the kitties are doing well, just a little bothered by the chilly weather.

Ok, good night!

Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.

If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.

The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!

  10. Wow tons of replies this week eh?
So a few thoughts by me…. quelle surprise eh? The Amope is great. Even at full price it is cheaper than elsewhere. I have one and it really does a great job on dry calloused feet!
Glad to see the chicken ravioli’s back in special…. have you tried it yet?
Also, for anyone needing/wanting (sometimes that line gets blurred for me!) a foam roller, that is an *amazing* price!
cheers for now and oh yeah, thanks! Jan

    • Hey Jan! I always look forward to your comments and thoughts!
I havn’t tried the ravioli, no. It does look delicious, I”m assuming you’ve had it/how is it?
Ya, that foam roller price is pretty sweet (even the one I have from Costco quite a few months ago was 19.99 I think? I guess my memory is as blurred as your need/want definition hahaha!)
Cheer, Jan! Always great to hear from you and I hope you have a great week!

Speaking of bbq stuff, that wood scraper is an excellent idea since it replaces the brush scrapers which have the added “bonus” of possibly shedding bristles that can become embedded in a hamburger and swallowed…. yes, it’s a real thing…. google it!
