Typically on Mondays I go to work in the morning, do my thing, finish up around 4:30-5:30, grab a quick bite to eat and the get my list and head down to Costco ready for a pretty relaxing stroll of the isles… checking things out, fulfilling my list, snapping pictures of the sales, thinking of things to talk about etc… The usual Monday stuff ya know? Today? well today was slightly different. I had a rare Monday morning off so naturally I decided to go to Costco early, grab a coffee, do my shopping… I have never seen so many aggressive shoppers! Moving quick, cutting me off, not using proper grocery cart etiquette such as looking behind you when you start to back up, or attempting to merge into the forward moving traffic lane. It was as though I was trying to merge onto the 401 in rush hour!

Anyhow, lots of goodies on sale this week. All the L.E.D.’s are still going for another week (I believe this is the last too.) Oceans flaked white tune 6 paclks are on sale this week for $10.49 so that’s pretty sweet, less than 2 bucks a can for good quality tuna? yeah baby! if you read my blog 5 or 6 weeks ago you’ll know how I feel about tuna… It’s good. Zavidia whole bean coffee is on sale for $8.49… That is crazy… That’s 2 cups of coffee almost from anywhere. This is a whole bag! So, well I got one…. Probably get a few more this week. Though I need to replace my Bodum, somehow the glass on the spout broke (we found the renegade glass hiding under the dishwasher, don’t worry!) mmmmmm coffee! Tostitos salsa is also on the executive members sale, but lets be honest here… If you’re getting salsa you should be either making it fresh, or getting the Herdez brand…Image result for herdez salsa There is no substitute for great salsa. Mexican foods in general are meant to be fresh and bright! And fresh salsa doesn’t take long to make, chop onions, tomatoes, garlic (if you want, and I do) jalapenos (or Serrano) peppers (seed them to your heat preference) add freshly squeezed lime juice, cilantro, cumin, chili powder blitz it up and simmer for a bit until the color deepens and man-o-man…. really hard to beat, and it tastes like you went to an actual Mexican restaurant… Warm up some corn chips and crack a corona- Boom! paradise.

Speaking of paradise, the garden center was open today, and it was warm and sunny so it was packed! Promising situations folks, I’m very encouraged by the weather trends. Very, very encouraged.

I’m going to keep this short, I’ve got a birthday dinner at the Keg to go to… which I gotta say, I’ve never been to the Keg. Which is crazy I know given my love for Steak. So that being said, I’m going to clean up and get a move on, ribeyes and martinis await. I hope you all had a great week/weekend and are looking forward to the actual springtime!

Cheers until next week.

Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.

If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.

The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!

  1. Thanks for all your weekly hard work for us!
I notice that most of the deals are now geared towards Executive Members only. Am I the only one who is turned really off by this kind of pressure to upgrade? It might just backfire on them — I’m sure some regular members may consider cancelling altogether — it’s just not the good deal it used to be.

    • I noticed that, too, about the Executive Members only deals – and I agree. Applying that kind of pressure to upgrade might backfire – at least, I hope they get blow back from it. I intend to write them about this, hope others will, as well.

        • Executive membership pays for itself. 2% back for all Costco purchases. For example:
Regular $55 – nothing in return
Executive $110 – 2% $55 =just like having Regular membership. We always get more than $55 back. So my Exacutive membership is cheaper than regular.

    • Hi Larry, I think that was just a short promo they were doing. I didn’t see any of those executive member sales on this week. My thoughts are they were showing us what extras people got with the executive membership to boost upgrades perhaps? Thanks for your support though! I really appreciate it!

  2. Thank you for finding us extra deals each week! We appreciate your effort! The deals for executive members happen only a few times per year, so most of the time everyone gets the same sales.

  3. Could you please tell me does their sale week run from Monday to Sunday? Your doing a great job thank you.

    • Hey Susan, They post new sales every Monday, however the length isn’t always just 1 week. Some sales last a few weeks. Just make sure to check the sale end date on the pictures.

  4. Thank you! As far as executive member deals go, they have to offer some incentives for this so I’m ok with it. There’s still plenty of deals for regular members.

  5. We saw this website and decided to join Costco! The lady at the desk said when new members join they always go for the Executive membership for the first year so we went for that.

    • Good choice. We renewed ourExecutive membership last weekend. Only cost us $10 plus tax when combined with our rebate cheque.

  6. Thanks for doing all this work. I have bought several items from Costco from your post.
Executive coupons only come out a couple times a year.

  7. I agree the executive coupon thing is not right as we pay for our membership. Will certainly give serious thought before my renewal doesn’t seem like a membership is worthwhile.

Always look forward to your excellent blog and post!

  9. Thank You for all your dedicated work. As far as executive deals they are offered 2x a year.. but remember executive membership is double the regular membership so if they want people to spend extra they need an incentive

  10. I agree that executive membership pays for itself!

Do we need an actual physical coupon for the executive member offers?

    • You do need to use the coupon. Executive Member coupons came in a little booklet with the last Costco Connection Magazine mailing. Executive Members have gotten the booklets in the mail for a number of years now, but it’s the first time they’ve been promoted in the store like this.

  11. It costs very little to have an executive membership. My refunds are enough to make my membership less than the regular membership after the rebates. I have only a small family and wondered if it was worth it when I was first told to get an executive membership. Then you get coupons a few times a year which then means that I am not out any money for my membership. Hope you upgrade and get the benefits.

    • Hello Heather! Thanks for checking out my site! To answer your question I don’t think I’ve seen them go on sale, but you never know. If they do though, you’ll see them on my blog!
