Hello and welcome to the Costco weekend sales update folks!
If you happen to be looking to update your bedding situation Costco has you covered (get it?!?!)
Sorry Liz Lemon…
Starting with the Sealy Posturepedia Atwater Queen mattress ($100 off @ 399.99) top that with the Beautyrest mattress pad (Queen -$8.00 @ $29.99) throw on some of the Jennifer Adams Microfiber sheets (Queen 6pc. -$10.00 @ $28.99) a nice squishy “I love my pillow” memory foam pillow (16″ x “24” -$10.00 @ 28.99) and top that all off with the Life comfort ultimate sherpa throw (60″ x 70″ -$4.00 @ $12.99) and my god you’re set for a warm and cozy sleep in!
Hang on a second… There’s no bed cover in there! Costco actually doesn’t have you covered!
Even Ewok gave me a stern unimpressed look after that one folks…
Here’s a few other sales to sneak a peek at while I go and make up with Ewok.
Sony Extra Bass Bluetooth speaker -$40.00 @ $99.99
Cello Parm cheese crisps 269g -$3.00 @ $9.99
Red Bull energy drink 24 x 250ml -$8.00 @ $31.99
Fila Fleece Jogger Mens sizes S-XXL -$4.00 @ $15.99
There you go!
I managed to get the cats calmed down after my terrible jokes but had to take a break as they decided they’d take over my workspace (in protest I’m sure) for a while.
My workplace “occupation” aside, hopefully everyone is staying occupied out there?
Maybe a few jigsaw puzzles that have gathered dust in the games closet (does anyone have those anymore??) are finally getting the attention they deserve? Or maybe those crossword, word search and sudoku books are back in circulation!
I’ve passed by these for the last week and a half and though these would be a great way to pass a bit of time.
Some old fashioned wholesome fun! (Or frustration depending on your patience level)
Speaking of patience, you may almost be out of them by now so I’ll let you go and enjoy browsing the sales folks!
Enjoy your weekends, stay safe & I’ll see you soon.
Since we are in the second wave of COVID-19 I think it’s important to remember that we’re not out of the corona virus weeds yet, and each province has their own Health recommendations based on the provinces individual risk assessment and I would recommend that you follow the recommendations for your specific province. Information can be found at the following websites.
Newfoundland COVID-19 information
New Brunswick COVID-19 information
Nova Scotia COVID-19 information
So there you go, a little reading material for you.
Be kind, be safe and stay healthy!
Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.
If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.
***This is a fan run, independent page with no affiliation or endorsement by Costco Wholesale***
The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!
Thabk you so much for this. I live 2 hrs from the nearest Costco in every direction so I consult this page, send my sister to her Costco then I get them from her lol. Do you ever let us know when Premier Protein goes on sale? Thanks a bunch. I hope Costco sees this and endorses you somehow. I know this is a lot of work.
Thank you very much for all your efforts!!
We all greatly appreciate it.
Take care and stay safe 🙂
I truly appreciate all the work you do for us here — it really helps us save time and money — but one recent change on the site has caused a bit of frustration. I used to be able to read all the fine print on the products in your photos, such as the expiry dates of the sales, etc., but now, either due to a change of your camera phone, or else a more extreme compression of the photo files, that is now impossible to do. I really miss being able to read all the details that your photos used to show. Is there any chance this little glitch can be rectified? Thanks again for all you do!
Hi Larry, Thank you for your comment!
We have made a change in the way we process the pictures, yes and it may be a little more difficult to get the expiry date from the tag in the picture but if you look below the pic there is text that has all that information. We’re doing this so that we can eventually add a search function to the website.
Just sitting here munching on some Chicago popcorn…. very addictive! So beach towels are out? That means bathing suits aren’t far behind 🙄. But can I use them any where other than my kiddy pool on the deck? Nope! lol. Last March we went to a fab Mexican all inclusive and came home to a changed world. Can not believe that was almost a year ago!
Ah well, I’m not really complaining, just reminiscing ‘bout the good ole days. I’m warm, healthy, retired and my hubby’s headed out to pick up our weekly burgers & fries takeout treat. I’d say life is pretty good! Hope all is well out there with y’all, Jan 👍
Thanks for this. I see clothing items in here, aren’t they non essential? Would I still be able to buy them when I’m I go to costco tomorrow?
I concur. Ingredients, unit price and many other make-or-break details are gone. Probably has ultimately to do with lousy Google being eventually cornered by Europeans, now cut the “free” picture storage, which made the market more competitive. True business leaders will find a compromise solution. Current one is not a solution. Merely a bad joke. Pics barely 100kb ? C’mon. We do consume your ads. Otherwise, time to move on.
Anmarie Dillion
Premier Proteins will be on sale 1-28 Feb for $28.99 that’s an $8 savings per box.
Anmarie Dillion – Premier Protein will be on sale in February.
Thanks for this blog, so much appreciated.
Thank you again
Hey Anmarie, I recently received my February coupon booklet in the mail. Premier Protein shakes will be 18 for $28.99 ($36.99 less $8) all month. Sounds like a good deal!
Hi there, I appreciate your effort , I realized that the last email I received it was Jan,5th,2021 . I checked my junk mail too but nothing there. I did unsubscribe and I subscribed again but I didn’t receive email too I don’t know what is happening but I really love to receive email from you again. Thanks
In reply to your claim that compressing pics improves search: you know well that description of pic does it, and NOT the size of the pic. Please ! Find a solution so that info on pics is legible.
Mary, the compression of the pics happens to ease the load on our server. The information form the sales tag is listed in the text below the picture so you can read it clearly there. ( I also go through all of the pictures and verify and correct the data… It takes hours to do.
Thanks for the reply everyone. Much appreciated.
@Larry P
I agree with you, whatever program they’re using to reduce the image by 70% has resulted in very grainy and bad pictures. Looks like the app they’re using to reduce the size of the image isn’t applying any sharpening or smoothing effects which is why the images look so bad and jagged. I tested this using something like MS Paint, and I got the same results, a very jagged image. Using another app which automatically applies sharpening and smoothing effects fixes that and makes things legible. If they just use an app which does that instead, then this images would be smaller and look much better. I’m assuming the app they’re using to apply the overlay is also reducing the image. Not sure if the intent is just to apply the overlay or if it’s also to reduce the size of the image at the same time.
I really preferred the larger images which were nice and clear and easy to read the details. I too used to use the images to see the fine print, sometimes ingredients or other details about what’s inside the box. Very useful without having to look at it in store. Now I’ll just have to go in store to see it.
I like the thought process of being able to add the search function to the website that would be really useful, but I’m unclear as to why the images have to be shrunk to achieve that.
I must say though, this website has been very useful, thank you for all of your hard work! I must say, it is a lot of work! Adding in the search function has got to be a lot more work! I’m assuming you’re using something which has OCR capability to scrape the data off the price tag, ‘cuz I noticed that it has problems with Bausch & Lomb. I’m glad, ‘cuz if you did this by hand, this would take forever! Thank you for all of your efforts!
