As the weekend has arrived I wanted to take a quick moment to remind you that Huggies Lil’ snugglers, Lil’ movers and Pull-Ups are still on sale until the 20th!
As far as I know these won’t be on sale for a while so this weekend would be a great time to stock up!
Quaker instant oatmeal (60 pouches) is on sale as well (until the 20th) for $3.00 off @ $10.99, I don’t know about you but oatmeal always seems like more of a fall/winter breakfast to me and that season is upon us… I still have some left over from before so I should crack into it again!
I did use my executive member coupon to get the 5.2L container of Mr. Clean All Purpose cleaner for $3.00 off (@ $8.99). We’re about halfway through the last container but hey why not take advantage of the sale!
As much as I’m a big fan of making my own Veggie stock and freezing it, I’ve been noticing these “Better than bouillon” jars & they are on sale until the 27th.
I like that the ingredients are simple and mostly organic. and the best before date is something like 2022… So lots of time to use it up! Has anyone used this before??? Sometimes these pastes can be a little strong or salty, just curious what your thoughts are.
Speaking of salty, I’m sure there are some people who are “salty” about the weather changing. I (as most of you are well aware) am OK with it as it means my favorite season is here!
And yes, I’ve got pumpkins already!
I know Halloween is kind of up in the air this year but I still intend to enjoy it!
The fall mums were also looking pretty spectacular in Costco today.
At least that rack was all happy looking!
Ours are lookin’ pretty happy outside too. (one of them kinda looks like Bob Ross)
These guys seems to be happy in the chillier weather but I’ve never successfully kept them alive through the winter. Has anyone done that, or have any tips for me???
Well back to Bob Ross, I think I’m gonna paint a happy little Bed and pillow and take a happy little nap. It was a long night at work, and an early morning of work is waiting for me tomorrow.
Enjoy your weekend folks, see you on Monday!
As we are all getting back to normal I think it’s important to remember that we’re not out of the weeds yet, and each province has their own Health recommendations based on the provinces individual risk assessment and I would recommend that you follow the recommendations for your specific province. Information can be found at the following websites.
So there you go, a little reading material for you.
Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.
If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.

The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!
I use the Better than Boullion Vege Stock for cooking. I use it in stir frys, soups, etc. and its tasty. Adds a little yummy flavour. I’ve never used it as a soup before, so cant comment if its salty. Enjoy!
I love using better than bouillon. I usually buy the chicken or vegetable. I don’t find out too salty to be honest. A little of it goes a long way and I find the jars can easily last months in fridge.
I have used the better then boullion stock, however the chicken one. It is extremely salty, I was not impressed at all, however they are well known in the instant pot community, might just be my taste buds.
Love the Bob Ross mums!
I bought the lobster claws and arms you showed in your last blog and they are great! I usually cook my own lobster and am leary of precooked and frozen usually but the price was right and I was in the mood so went for it. I had a delicious lobster roll on baguette using 3 of them. I had to squeeze them out a bit to remove some of the water but they were very tasty. Might use some more in a creamy pasta dish!
A question for you and your readers: Costco carried Lafleur brand cretons in the past that were really good. (Another thing I’m leary about, having been spoiled by a friend’s amazing ones and had some not-so-good.) I haven’t seen them since last Christmas or so and wondered if anyone has seen them. I even checked across the river in Gatineau when I was there today hoping they’d have them since they’re a Quebecois thing, but no luck. They used to sell a pack of 24 1-2 serving sized containers. Would love to know if anyone sees them oin the shelves again.
