Well, I’m happy… So are my cats because Whiskas is on sale baby! Time to stock up… I’ve managed to acquire some large buckets from restaurants and can store the food in them long term so… you better believe I do! Oh, and Pedigree Dog food is on sale too, so Dog owners follow suit!
The Royal Red Krill oil is another pill fix I like, I’ve taken them before and now that it’s on sale I’ll take ’em again after all Red wine can only do so much for your heart right? Speaking of wine – Wine kits are on sale for 16.99 off?!?! holy smokes apparently that makes it about 6 dollars a bottle – yes please! now, the equipment required to ferment the wine isn’t included buuuut you can get that stuff from wine kit stores and if you have the patience to do so it can be very rewarding.. just make sure you ask for help when you go in, the staff at those places are usually always very helpful even if you don’t intend to buy something. I had a 20 minute conversation about beer and beer making at my store when I was looking for a fermenting gasket to make Kim-Chi…. So there you go.
I also picked up one of those foam back roller things today. Never used one, but the clearance price of 9.97 convinced me to try it out in the isle (probably not the best idea) but hey it worked, so I grabbed it and I guess we shall see what happens. At the very least I can put it in the corner with the kettle-ball and they can keep each other company.
The Lagostina cast Iron panini press in on clearance at our location as well. Do you use a cast Iron skillet or frying pan? if you don’t I highly recommend you do. Easily the best and most versatile cooking implement you can have. They can last literally forever (with proper care of course) and can cook (or bake) basically anything. frying fish? done! need to sear a steak during the chilly months? done! sautee onions? Easy! Jalapeno corn bread? heat it up, pour ing the mixure and bake away…Done! They are heavy, and may have a bit of a learning curve in terms of care and sesasoning but… Well worth the investment and seeing as you can spend upwards of a hundred dollars or more for these things – GOOD DEAL! (almost as wise an investment as high quality professional Chef knives-but- that is a different story.
Cheers to spring! See you soon.
