In the Wednesday Super Post I pick an entire section of Costco and take pictures of ALL of the items for you see! This week the Herbs, Spices and Baking goods aisle!
Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.
If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.

There is never a bad time to check out you pantry and evaluate you’re spice line-up!
I know every month or two I’ll open the cupboards up and take a look at what spices are running low (or out… Coriander, I’m looking at you!)
I love having a large stock of herbs and spices available for al the cooking we do, so I’m always taking a peek down Costco’s spice aisle for something delicious!
Himalayan Sea salt and black pepper are always in demand around here.
And Chili flakes, obviously…
Basse Pumpkin seeds are another staple in our pantry, they seem to go perfect in so many salads and even work in a pinch for pesto, or as a substitute for peanuts.
Of course, there’s no reason not to just open the bag and eat a handful of them as a snack! Same goes for the Yupik Cashews.
The Kirkland Signature organic sugar is another great grab at $11.99.
Although it’s been in short supply at the Barrie warehouse lately, anyone else having that issue???
I’ll let you dive into the deliciousness below folks and I’ll be seeing you on Friday for the weekend update!
Be kind, be safe and stay healthy!

Costco Herbs, Spices and Baking goods Super Post: Aug 10th 2022
A worker at the Fredericton NB warehouse said they’ve been having trouble keeping sugar in stock for months. Glad to see vanilla is back down in price, though. The last bottle I bought, I paid $42!
I’m quite delighted that my Costco carries pure vanilla extract again and at a whopping good price of $15.99. However I am very sad that my Costco (Guelph) has been out of white, brown, and icing sugar for at least two weeks
I really appreciate this. I seldom take the time to really look at these products since I mostly buy my herbs and spices in bulk but much smaller amounts. However, I may have to make an exception for the maple bacon seasoning! It looks like vanilla has finally come down in price, which is great. On occasion, I like to buy pine nuts which are cheaper here than elsewhere. And the Kirkland nuts are always my first choice. Thanks a lot for my morning shop!
Cheers & chill 😎
Funny you mention the vanilla. As you are aware, it was quite expensive a year or so ago. I think here in Oshawa it was somewhere in the $35 range. About 3 months ago I suddenly noticed it was $13.99. WHOA! I bought a bottle and told my daughter-in-law and she was amazed and asked that I pick her up one next time I went. A subsequent visit I went and picked up and the bottle was priced at $14.99. OK – time to watch the prices rise with inflation. Was just in my store a week ago and saw this price ($15.99). I wonder where it will stop?
I have to admit – I never have looked at these products either. I will be from now on — so many great prices on great sized products. Thanks so much for doing this and helping families save money – especially right now.
