It’s been a rainy and gloomy day here, but that didn’t stop the Costco sales train from going full steam ahead. 195 sale items today, I don’t think I’ve seen that many since last year!
From $2.00 off a jar of Elara Kalamata olives (which I bought) to $400 off an LG 17″ Gram laptop (which I did not buy!) Costco pretty well has all the price points covered here.
As I was walking around today I realized how much I miss the sample kiosks as I was starving!
This normally leads me to make poor choices when shopping, does this happen to anyone else? Ya know you go grocery shopping, you’re hungry and then all of the food looks delicious and you wind up with a cart full of things that you didn’t go in for.
Well I was able to resist temptation (for the most part, though not entirely) today, but I did see a couple of delicious looking things that I’d like to pick your brains about folks.
First off I’m the only meat eater in the house and my partner is gluten free so this PG Tourtiere represents a commitment to eating it 3 or 4 days in a row or feeding my co-workers at the restaurant.
I mean it looks delicious, and I’m sure making a little Swiss Chalet dipping sauce on the side wouldn’t hurt anything right?
Anyhow if you’ve tried these before I’d love to know what you think!
And who doesn’t love Bread and cheese right? So what about this???
This just looks indulgent! I mean it’s a giant cheesy loaf of bread!
The only thing I’m not seeing in this that I would like to see is the “garlic” aspect. Why would you make a giant cheesy loaf of bread and not make it a giant garlicky cheesey loaf of bread???
I don’t know either Daffy…
So lack of garlic aside who has tried this and what do you think of it???
Folks. take a look at the situations below.
I can’t get any work done anywhere around here with these two and I’ve tried moving to a few different locations, they apparently need attention.
So on that note I’m going to go and tend to my kitties.
Enjoy the sales folks, and I’ll see you soon!
Costco Online bookings for the flu shot are now available!
It’s true folks, you can make an appointment online to get a flu shot at your Costco warehouse during your normal shop, or plan your shopping trip around the flu shot… Either way it’s a win!
You can find an available warehouse & book online at the Costco Pharmacy page.
Since we are in the second wave of COVID-19 I think it’s important to remember that we’re not out of the corona virus weeds yet, and each province has their own Health recommendations based on the provinces individual risk assessment and I would recommend that you follow the recommendations for your specific province. Information can be found at the following websites.
So there you go, a little reading material for you.
Be kind, be safe and stay healthy!
Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.
If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.

The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!
Hello! The tourtière is very good and very thick, it`s huge, we are a family of 3 (including a 12 year old) my son loves tourtière and I have converted his dad to the Québecois traditions. 🙂 We would have this over a few meals. I cook it then precut it and try to put waxed paper between the slices for easy access at a later date (I freeze it). Growing up we would eat this with a salad (a particular type as my mom is from the Saguenay region (North of Québec City)) Leaf Lettuce, green onions, salt and cream (35%) I skip the green onions and put onion powder. Most people eat the tourtière with ketchup not gravy or just as is.
This size tourtière is made to serve when you have guests/family over for Christmas or New Years part of the traditional meal hence the size and everyone would get a thinner slice because there would be tons of other food to eat with it. Above is a description of having it outside of the holidays. I would try it! All my `english` speaking Ontario friends love it! 😉 Hope you enjoy it!
Annie
Hey! Great minds think alike. I’ve been wondering too about that tourtière for a couple of years now…. wouldn’t want to rush into anything lol 😝 Every Christmas, it shows up. It’s so nice to have a virtual audience to ask, so come on guys, any thoughts? Let’s hear from y’all!!
Thanks for keeping us all up to speed with stuff at my favourite place to shop. And stay safe out there!(remember Hill Street Blues, or are you too young?)
Cheers n chill, Jan
That pull apart cheese bread looks delicious!
It might find its way in to my cart tonight! Will add my own garlic butter on top:)
Those binoculars have GOT to be marked down soon, right?!
I feel like Costco made you work extra hard, a lot of the items above where on your Friday one, so you had to re photograph all of the same things 🙁
Thanks for all your work! Stay safe today in the snow
I found your blog a couple of weeks ago and I had to take a minute here and send you a thank you note. The work you do here is amazing and helps me decide when to go to Costco and have a shopping list ready.
You seem like a great individual, please take care of your cats, aren’t they the most beautiful creature ever?
Thank you
Thank you! So many items this week, I really appreciate the work you put into doing this for us.

Would like to receive the blog. Thank you.
Your website has saved me so much in the short time I’ve been using it. Thank you!
