It’s always a great sign when you start to see Costco rolling out it”s summer goods!

The yard games, the chairs, the hammocks, sleeping bags, beach shelters… It’s a sign that we are almost into a new season!

Pre-Planted assorted bulbs  for $25.99, Timber ridge director chair with side table $37.99, Foldable hammock wit removable canopy $79.99, Pro swingball set $39.99… All fun summer goodies!

Now obviously we have to deal with Spring first, but still… We’re almost there! (clocks move forward on Sunday!)

I know all this Covid-19 stuff is front and center these days, but I’ve gotta say I don’t think my Costco has really been affected by it… No crazy lines, people are obviously buying toilet paper, but not to a crazy degree. How have your Warehouses been folks???  Good, Bad, Ugly?

I think the Lysol disinfecting wipes are the hardest hit product out of all of this… I mean that’s OK with me! If people want to clean their hands on a regular basis before they touch things, I won’t complain, not one bit!

Anyhow I think we all hear enough about this thing in the news, so lets not talk anymore about it here, alright?

(I wish I could train Dexter to do that…)

He’s too busy with his catnip pillow to train for anything though.

And that’s OK!

This guy however, seems to be in need of some training.

racoon

That’s a chubby fella. Actually looks kinda like Dexter! (well… a bit)

Apparently all the animals except the birds are allowed to have their food. That’ll be a project for the springtime… Squirrel & Deer proof bird feeding station, plans and suggestions are welcome folks!

And with that, I’ll depart to sleepytime. See you soon.

Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.

If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.

The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!

  1. We had to put our bird feeders on the clothesline out of reach from the deer and raccoons, however we had one tenacious squirrel who could traverse the line. Good luck!

    • Haha, that’s a great idea! Squirrels, gotta love watching them trying to get at the food. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

  2. Good morning! The Sun is shining again! Although it’s super cold!!
I have to disagree with you a little, when I went to Costco this week (first time in almost a month) I was shocked at how empty it was, both of people and product. There were lots of parking spaces close to the front doors available, no line ups, empty areas in the overhead stock areas, and the back was shocking with NO toilet paper! Now this could also have something to do with the protests stopping the trains…

On a lighter note. I actually built a squirrel feeder this fall. I fill it with peanuts every couple of days and that helps keep them away from the feeders. I also have a few ‘squirrel buster’ feeders, not cheap but they work well. No tips for the deer though, they generally don’t come down town k-town lol.

    Thanks for all you do!

    • When did you go Jennifer? I was there on Monday and Friday (both at 10am) and it was all good, though Monday had lot’s of people gathering at the endcaps and chatting)
A squirrel feeder huh? can you post a picture for us all to see??? I’d love to be able to feed all the forest creatures obviously.
Thank you Jennifer for reading and supporting! See you in the aisles.

      • I went Wednesday evening.
Also went on Sunday, they had some toilet paper then, but not much. I saw one couple with two carts filled with just toilet paper… and almost everyone there (although still quiet) had at least one package. Standing in the pharmacy line, I noticed that a lot of the overheads still had a lot of gaps.

Happy to post a picture, just not sure how, any suggestions?

        • I noticed that the Kirkland brand was out on Monday, but Charmin was still kickin’ around. And ya I saw a few of those empty overheads too… As for the picture, I don’t know Jennifer. Hmmm, I’ll work on that one.

          • That one’s pretty cool, I could do something like that. I’d also like a bag of peanuts now too, haha.

          • Can’t reply to your last comment…

Let me (us) know if you end up making one! It’s so much fun to watch them discover it when your first put it up.
I get my peanuts at bulk barn, they usually put them on sale once a month or so. But let me know if you find them cheaper elsewhere! I go through a lot haha

          • Hey Jennifer, I just bought some peanuts at bulk barn yesterday! Absolutely the cheapest spot to grab ’em, and well basically anything else!

  3. Thank you for all that you do! You make my shopping chore a breeze; many try to immitate your weekly publication, but your pictures of price & product are always clearer than any of them out there. Keep up the outstanding work, it’s much appreciated. 🙂 (…it wouldn’t be the same without Ewok & Dexter’s pics and updates)

    • Thank you Josee, I appreciate the support! Dexter and Ewok do as well, they love all the extra attention they get from you all!

  4. Thank you very much for your weekend update, much appreciated!

Love those pre-planted bulb planters, would make a great gift too.

    So nice to see garden items making a comeback. 🌷 🌷 🌷 🌷 🌷

Also love Daylight Savings Time, before you go to bed tonight (Sat)
    turn your clocks forward 1 hour . ⏰ ⏰ ⏰

    • Yes, we kind of forgot about daylight savings until this morning, thankfully neither of us had any morning plans though!
I’m always excited at the turnover of products this time of year, so much fun to see all the spring/summer stuff coming back!

  5. Thanks for posting! We missed out on the Tommy Bahama Chairs last year—but thanks to you we won’t this year! 😉
Our Costco has been crazy lately! (Here on the East Coast) like every one is preparing for the Apocalypse—and need ALL of the toilet paper! Haha

    • Haha, I don’t know why toilet paper is such a hot commodity… I mean we go to the bathroom, but not much!
