I walk the whole store for you every Monday when Costco Sale items and Costco Flyer sales are released for the week, then post them here and on our Facebook page.
Today was another pretty busy day at the warehouse, seems like the last week has been busier than normal for some reason… Whatever the case, it was another one of those days where I wished I had a horn on the shopping cart, or a megaphone attached to it, or a snow plow attachment..
People walking side by side down the aisle, no paying attention to the fact that there’s a lineup of people behind them, stopping in the middle of the aisle to chat, leaving carts at one end of the aisle and walking to the other end… Who does that? Bring your cart with you! I guess I’m missing the days of “peaceful, quiet Costco”.
Oh well, that’s my rant for today. And Scene!
I was pleasantly surprised to find that a new item swam into the warehouse today, and yes that is a fish pun because we got sushi today!!!
I love sushi, so naturally I had to grab some for lunch. I don’t mind California rolls, but they’re kind of like entry level Sushi, and I didn’t want the full blown meal kit size of the Deluxe Sushi Combo so I went with the Goldilocks solution in the middle.
I dove into it as soon as I got home and started getting pictures loaded up, and I will say that I enjoyed it… Maybe a 7.5 out of 10. Prepackaged sushi can be good, but it’s never as good as when it’s fresh from a sushi joint, it just isn’t possible. This package did provide enough Wasabi, soy and ginger though, which is another area pre-packed sushi can fall short, so bonus points to Snowfox for that.
So, absolutely worth trying and I’ll be tempted to try the deluxe sushi combo at some point soon!
Another new addition were these Keto Pizzas. Of course they looked delicious on the packaging.
Has anyone tried these out yet? They just hit the shelves so it might be too soon, but I’m curious so let me know!
You’ll also notice there is a J.A. Henckels 20 piece knife set on sale for $50.00 off @ $189.99.
The great thing about this set is that the block has built in sharpeners that do the job every time you take them out to use ’em. Talk about convenient!
I Love my Henckels knives, you should know that by now.
The High Liner miso glazed Cod is on sale for $4.00 off @ $15.99.
I love miso, and Cod is a great mild white fish to pair it with. I’ve seen these in the freezer for a while now but this is the first time I remember seeing them on sale. Might be time to try ’em out!
Here’s a few more sales to check out.
Cap ‘N Crunch peanut butter tarts 30 x 24g -$2.00 @ $6.99
J.A. Henckels knife block set 20 pieces -$50.00 @ $189.99
Nordicware oven crisp baking tray -$6.00 @ $22.99
Let’s not forget that Golden Island Pork Jerky is on sale for $3.50 off @ $11.99.
I tried this a few months ago, and yes I bought a bag today because it is delicious. Enough so that I had to actively try not to eat the entire bag in the car.
To answer the question I know you want to ask, no I did not buy the Pac-Man arcade game, but yes I stopped and played Pac-Man for 10 minutes. Couldn’t help it… But it’s also a nice way to break up the Costco Treasure hunt, perhaps Costco should think about installing an entire arcade section? They’d make a killing off of me!
To answer the other question I know you want an answer to, Ewok and Dexter are doing fine. I caught Ewok doing some yoga (???) the other day, though I’m not sure what positions those are supposed to be.
I then managed to sneak up on them both while they were being all cute and sleepy.
Of course I had to wake them up and squish them after the pictures… How could you not?! I mean look at Dexter tucking his little chin into his fluff!
Speaking of squishy things, I’m going to crawl into a warm squishy bed and let you browse the shiny new sales for this week.
Cheers folks, stay safe and warm & I’ll see you all soon!
P.S. Congratulations on getting a new car Jan!!! That is pretty exciting! Hopefully it has heated seats, auto start and all the other luxurious winter ameneties??? (Including lots of trunk space for your Costco shopping!)
Ok, now I’m really gonna go. Good night everyone!

Did you see where the 3 piece thermometer set was in the store? I looked for it last week and couldn’t find it. Thanks for posting great deals, Tuesday and Saturdays are always exciting.
Lindsay
Thank you very much LindsY! I didn’t see the thermometers this week, but they were on managers clearance here at the Kingston, ON. warehouse so might be gone for the time being.
For past couple of years my husband has been the primary/sole costco shopper. So we haven’t been guilty of the side by side shoppers you mentioned. I wonder if its partially because majority of outings are paused right now, so costco is the big outing for some couples, so they soak it all up and make it social, unaware that they are impairing others. Thank you for your blog and weekly efforts, much appreciated.
The sushi has been in Toronto locations for a while now. Tried it a few weeks ago – very so so – won’t be buying it again. Guess it is a matter of luck as to how many days after it was made you get to eat it. I would rather carry on buying my sushi at a sushi restaurant or a retail store like T&T where it is always made fresh on the day of purchase.
I hear ya on your wayward shoppers rant. I want a rubber hand attached to my cart to just slap them on my way by. Too much? Lol 😂 so many folks are just oblivious to their surroundings.
Thanks for the congrats on the car, after 17 years with the previous one, there’s a lot to learn! Yep we got all the nifty stuff including heated steering wheel and I think my husband’s in love with it.
Cute pics…. “downward kitty” yoga perhaps?
Cheers, Jan
Oh yeah, the heated steering wheel… I’d be in love with that feature too!
A rubber band huh??? I’m a pretty good shot with those!
Downward kitty, Kitty warrior, toe beans to the sun???
Jan! I laughed outloud at your ‘listen to Jennifer’ comment!!
I must know, do you often buy big ticket items to go with the small ones? Maybe you bought your house to go with a couch you had?! HAHA enjoy the new car 🙂
Just started reading your blurb a few weeks ago and get a kick out of it. Love the pics of the cats too !
It’s a great service you provide for the consumer.
Thanks for your excellent blog, I really look forward to it every Tuesday and Saturday.
I agree with you about being annoyed with shoppers abandoning their carts. Sometimes I’m a little naughty and nudge their cart a little further down the aisle 😂😄
I think Ewok’s yoga pose is called “stick m’ up” 😂😻
Hmmm well, can’t comment on the sushi (vegetarian) but I’m all over those cat pictures!! I love that Dexter sleeps on your jeans! also love me some toe beans!!
I like ‘splayed cleaning pose’
Stay warm!
Thank you once again, just added four items to my shopping list:)
That’s great Mindy, I’m glad I could help (hopefully) save you some time and money!

Thank you for your emails. I read them top to bottom every Tuesday. They are so very helpful!
Thank you very much Cheryl! I appreciate it and am glad I can be a part of your day!

Absolutely agree, though I will give it a second chance. I don’t have a T&T nearby though, unfortunately for me but fortunate for my wallet!
What happened to the history buttons today?
They are so useful – both to see the history and also to quickly ‘save’ the items that one is interested in as one browses through the blog.
Hi Robin, we are looking into it right now. Thanks for pointing that out!
Thanks for the tour! Love the fur baby pics, they do look comfy resting.

Yep buy low then buy high lol. We love the car (Acura RDX) but my husband confessed today he hates the brush!! 🤷🏼♀️ Ah well c’est la vie eh?
hahaha no pleasing him!! 😉
Love this, always find something that I would otherwise miss, thank you. Joanne

Oh Layla Bay, you’re hilarious!! 🙄😂😆 I think you should step outside your comfort zone and go full on naughty next time. I applaud your daring do! 😉
HAHA before Covid, I would actually stop, move their cart out of the way, go back to mine and carry on!! I say nudge away!!
Nudge nothin’…. full on ramming speed I say 😂making sure there’s no bodies in between of course. You go first…… 😉
hi did you find the paw patrol toy at the same price they had last week. Thank you
