Happy long weekend everyone!

Yes, it’s finally here. So much green just seemed to pop up in the last week! I can see out of my window the lilac is flowering. I love that smell! Though I still havn’t gotten a new BBQ yet so I can’t enjoy the other outdoor smells just yet, at least my own anyhow.

I know those little Bose Soundlink speakers aren’t on sale, but I’ve had one for about a year now and I’m super impressed by how good it sounds, and how loud it can get. It can fill a house with music on its own without getting all distorted. The 119.99 price tag is well worth it for a great sounding, small and very durable bluetooth speaker… And who doesn’t enjoy annoying their neighbours with loud music?? I mean come on, right?!

That Summerfresh 4 cheese macaroni salad was on sale today… I bought some… Didn’t take a picture of it… But I’m sure I’ll enjoy it! I had someone tell me the red potato salad from Costco is really good too, and I do love a potato salad so I’ll have to give it a shot. Anyone had it before??? Potato salads are so versatile and I think that’s part of why I like them, you can kind of squeeze them into almost any type of cuisine (I’m sure even fine dining has their own, ya know… a single mini potato on a GIGANTIC plate with 2 or 3 different coloured sauces speckling the layout, perhaps a tin little dill sprig to garnish. 35 dollars please!) Though I personally like the creamier kinds, I’ve made a few that were more vinegary and really enjoyed them as well… I suppose it you were having a rich protein with it it would balance it nicely… Some fatty fish, or a roast of some kind? I’ll have one now please…

Cashmere Toilet paper is on sale still so better get at it and stock up for your bottoms sake.

The finish dishwasher cleaners are on sale too, I bought a pack to try…. Usually I just use baking soda and/or vinegar but figured this would be a good experiment. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Anyone use those fitbit things??? I’ve been curious about them, but never pulled the trigger so I’d be curious about other peoples experiences.

Ok, I gotta jet. Mush get some food into my mouth (veggie burgers, roast potatoes and a simple salad) and get off to shoot a music video, wish me luck!

See you next week.

Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.

If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.

The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!

  1. Thanks for doing this blog. I really appreciate it.
The red potato salad is the best store-bought one that I’ve ever found.

    • Thanks Sandi, I’ll give it a try. I have had a few good reviews of it so why not right??? The 4 cheese macaroni salad was pretty darn good as well, I’ll be the potato salad hits the mark without question!

    • Thank you Nancy for enjoying it!!! I have a great time doing this- and the fact that people enjoy it and can save time and money makes me feel great about it!

    • Hey Linda, my Costco (in Kingston, ON.) was one of the few open today so I was able to get in and get some goodies! Glad you enjoyed!

  2. The red potato salad is pretty decent for a store bought one. However, I find there’s way too much dressing for the amount of potatoes so I cook up more small red potatoes and add them to it. This really helps if you’re serving a crowd. I would also highly recommend Moishes coleslaw…. as good or better than homemade and it lasts forever in the fridge!

    • Nice, that’s good to know. I love cooking, but having a base to add to for a crowd is always a great way to save time and money! Speaking of Moishes I love the pickles…. Sooo good.. have you tried them???

      • Absolutely ?! And while we’re on the subject, have you tried the premade quinoa salad? I add canned tuna, thinly sliced spring onions, shaved radishes, shredded cheese, lots of pepper, lemon juice, olive oil and toasted pine nuts. It makes a fab quick (& healthy) salad for supper. Some naan chips on the side are a tasty addition. Finely chopped Moishes pickles are good in the salad too!

  3. Asking about Fitbit .. I love mine and I have had one for several years. They are addictive and encourage me to move more. So all is good .

    • Thank you, I’m certainly interested in them… Just don’t know if I want to add it to my list of addictions (or pile of fitness equipment that doesn’t get used as much as it should!) Do you have one of the mini ones?

  4. Thanks very much for all the time and effort you put into this!!!
Going to Costco now, have my list ready thanks to you!!

  5. Hello All,
Just returned from my Costco and stalked up on several goodies.
I was really disappointed that I couldn’t get the Garmin Dashcam/GPS for $239.97. The unit was $299.99 at my location in Mississauga. I inquired why and they said items ending in a 7 are older stock they want to clear out. The newer one was almost identical to the one offered at the much higher price. I couldn’t justify paying the extra $60. + so didn’t buy it.
Same thing for the Salton popcorn maker at $14.97, clearance price so my store didn’t have any.
I am very aware that prices in the Costco you shop in take precedent over this blog, just wanted to make others aware.
Thanks again! Love your blog and still got some good deals 🙂

  6. Edit: Meant to say “The newer one was almost identical to the one offered at the much LOWER price.”

  7. Great service. Look forward to your weekly updates.
Was wondering if you or anyone else here remembers the name of the brand of wild caught breaded fish that Costco sold last year. It was so good, but I can’t find it anywhere anymore.

  8. Your blog is incredibly helpful to me and one I share with all of my friends. Thank you for all of your hard work.
