Siwin Beef Gyoza Review

Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Delici Cookie Butter Mousse, Costco Good Moood Farm Kefir and the Costco Erie Meats Lean Ground Chicken.

If you like my reviews for Costco food products, the best thing is that you can follow me on Instagram or Facebook and tell your friends about my blog Costcuisine, where I review new Costco food products each week! You can also check out my YouTube channel, where I do video reviews.

I really like the Siwin Pork and Vegetable Potstickers from Costco so I decided to pick up the Siwin Wagyu Beef Gyoza to try as well. I paid $16.99 Canadian for the 1.36 kg bag at Costco recently.

These are really easy to heat up, you can microwave them and they’re done in two minutes or you can fry them, use them in soup or microwave them. They don’t come with any sauce which is a bit disappointing, I used soy sauce as a dip and both my husband and I decided they didn’t need any sauce and were salty and flavorful enough on their own. They need to be kept frozen and the best before date is about a year and five months from buying them.

In three gyoza there are 150 calories, seven grams of fat, 17 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, two grams of sugar, six grams of protein and 330 milligrams of sodium. These have wheat, soy and sesame in them.

I think these are pretty tasty, not amazing but definitely yummy and I’d happily eat them again. They’re really moist and flavorful but not too salty or seasoned too much. They’re a bit messy because some liquid drips out of the filling which may be grease from the beef. I think the ratio of beef to dough is just right.

Cost: 7/10
