Natalie reviews: Poppies Chocolate Flavoured Belgian Coconut Cookies

Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Grass Fed Butter and the Costco Sabatino’s Paleo Organic Chicken Sausages.

If you like my reviews for Costco food products, the best thing is that you can follow me on Instagram or Facebook and tell your friends about my blog Costcuisine, where I review new Costco food products each week! You can also check out my YouTube channel, where I do video reviews!

I love coconut so I had to buy these coconut cookies from Costco to try and review. I had high hopes for them!

I paid $11.99 for the 500-gram bag with 20 cookies which isn’t that expensive considering they’re gluten-free!

The cookies are individually wrapped and the bag also reseals so the cookies are kept fresh! The best before date is about 9 months from I picked them up. These are a perfect sweet treat for anyone in your house following a gluten-free, dairy-free diet.

One cookie has 120 calories, six grams of fat, 15 grams of carbohydrates, two grams of fibre, 12 grams of sugar, one gram of protein and five milligrams of sodium. The ingredients list is short but there are lots of unhealthy things like sugar, glucose syrup and palm oil.

If you like coconut, you’ll these. I really enjoy their simplicity and deliciousness! The cookies consist of chocolate and coconut, the coconut is sweet, soft and chewy and the chocolate is overall pretty decent. It’s not the most amazing chocolate I’ve had but the combination of chocolate and coconut work really well together. The cookies also taste really fresh (I think from the packaging).
