Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Purely Elizabeth Organic Original Granola and the Costco Puravida Fire Roasted Root Vegetables.

I needed a few appetizers for New Year’s Eve so I picked up these crunchy chicken wings from the freezer section at Costco during my last trip. I paid $25.99 for the 2 kilogram bag, each wing is really large so there’s not as many wings in the bag as you may expect.
The bag reseals and opens easily with a convenient pull tab, the best before date is roughly one year from when I purchased them. The wings don’t come with any sauce on them so I recommend picking up your favorite dipping sauce if you purchase these, they’re a bit dry without anything on them.
In three wings there are 220 calories, 13 grams of fat, nine grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibre, one gram of sugar, 15 grams of protein and 540 milligrams of sodium. Considering how much breading it looks like are on each wing the carbs aren’t that high! The ingredients list is also pretty short and sweet with chicken being the first ingredient!
I cooked these in the oven and cooked them 30 minutes instead of 25 minutes and they still turned out kind of soggy. I’m not sure if they’d get much crispier in the air fryer but if you have an air fryer and buy these wings I’d recommend air frying these. The flavor is decent but the breading is rather salty with a hint of heat. The wings are pretty greasy and fatty so I wouldn’t say the quality of the meat is amazing. I thought these wings were okay but I’ve had better and probably wouldn’t buy them again.
