Natalie reviews: La Boulangere Salted Caramel Mini Muffins

Last week on the blog I reviewed the Kirkland Signature Keto Snack Mix and Fannie May S’mores Snack Mix

If you like my reviews for Costco food products, the best thing is that you can follow me on Instagram or Facebook and tell your friends about my blog Costcuisine, where I review new Costco food products each week! You can also check out my YouTube channel, where I do video reviews!

My husband loves salted caramel so I picked up these mini muffins from Costco for him to try!

I paid $12.49 for 18 muffins.

I tried to find a best-before date on the bag and couldn’t find one. The muffins are individually packaged and are made in France. The bag says not to refreeze the muffins because they’re been frozen before but I constantly re-freeze items and haven’t ever had an issue. These are great to share with others or bring to school or work since they’re so conveniently packaged.

For three muffins there are 390 calories, 20 grams of fat, 49 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, 21 grams of sugar, four grams of protein and 460 milligrams of sodium. The muffins contain egg, milk and wheat.

These are tastier than I expected! I didn’t love the Chocolatine from the same company (La Boulangere)  but these are better. The salted caramel is what makes them good. The center of the muffin has a liquid salted caramel filling which is quite sweet. The muffin itself is soft and moist. I will say these taste pretty processed, not at all like homemade. I think kids would like them and I noticed a bag was in my lunchroom at work and they disappeared pretty quickly.

Cost: 7/10

Convenience: 10/10

Nutrition: 0/10

Taste: 7/10
