We recently bought a bag of the Costco Kirkland Signature Corn Chip Dippers for New Year’s Eve and needed a dip to go with them so I picked up this Good Foods Traditional Chunky Guacamole.
I paid $13.99 Canadian and the box comes with three 10-ounce containers of guacamole.
Each guacamole is sealed with a plastic wrapper top that peels off but what I dislike most about this guacamole is that there’s no way to reseal it! You can store it in another container but I just think it’s silly that there’s no resealable lid for the guacamole. The best-before date is over a month from when we purchased it and it needs to be kept refrigerated. This is great as a dip for veggies, chips, on tacos, fajitas and in quesadillas.
Two tablespoons contain 35 calories, three grams of fat, three grams of carbohydrates, two grams of fiber, zero grams of sugar, one gram of protein and 135 milligrams of sodium. That’s actually fewer calories and fat than I thought there would be and I’m pleasantly surprised by the nutrition facts. I also love the ingredients list. This is definitely a healthy dip option.
Both my husband and I really enjoyed the guacamole. I personally like a bit of chunkiness in my dips so liked the added texture from the chunks of tomatoes, onions and avocados. It’s salty but not overly so and not too doesn’t have an overpowering garlic flavor which I appreciate. I would absolutely repurchase this and if you’re a guacamole fan I recommend it.
