Happy Boxing day everyone!
I hope you manage to get out to Costco to take advantage of all the great deals happening right now, as there are quite a few! Bear in mind this week alot of sales are ending at the end of the day, or mid-week, so if you have specific items in mind be sure to check the sale end date on the picture, or, call ahead to check with your local warehouse. There are also quite a few sales that carried over from Monday the 24th, so make sure to check in on that blog by either clicking here, or the picture before the sales.
Also, The Barrie Costco had regular unleaded gas on for 88.9!!!
Well I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas Day with your families! I know I did! I think I checked off all the boxes…
Slept in – Check!
Open presents – Check!
Caesars – Check!
Borscht, again. – Check!
(Yum! It was a hit!)
Quiet time with the family – check-ish.
Walk in the conservation area – check
We really did have a great day. But today is a different beast, I got up early and headed to Costco in Barrie at 9:30, but it turns out they didn’t open ’till 10… Now you’d think that I would check the hours before I went… Nope! Apparently I don’t practice what I preach! Anyhow, it was way less insane than I anticipated (2 for 2!) with only 20 people waiting to get in. I was able to breeze through the aisles with little to no traffic, so I was only really in the warehouse for about an hour.
After I got home we all started scrambling to get our food ready to take to Toronto for dinner at uncle Bobs (everyone has an uncle Bob right?) We have Brussels sprouts and whole baby carrots roasted with shallots, olive oil, maple syrup and balsamic vinegar. Delicious!
And that brings up to right now. We are T-minus 16 minutes to departure, so on that note I shall get this puppy up and running and be on my way.
Thank you all for Christmas well wishes! I really appreciate you all, and all the support you give me and this fan blog. I means a lot to me!!!
Ok… We’re off to fight traffic now. Wish me luck!
Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.
If there is something you really want, ***double check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.
The food brands available can differ from region to region. Pictures are taken at a store in Ontario. Sale items should apply to Costco locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Nova Scotia, if the item is in stock at your store. There will likely be a few deals not shown here in your store. If this blog has helped you save money, consider sharing www.cocoeast.ca with your friends and family! If you see deals at your store that aren’t on this blog, post them in the comments and help spread the money saving love!
Thank you, Merry Christmas!
Marnie thank you so much! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and hope for a great new year as well! I look forward to seeing you here again soon.
You are a rockstar to be there so early!
Thanks.
Well… I think everyone in line looked as tired as I did on boxing day, though relieved the line was so small! It’s the little victories right?
Are you able to tell us which Costco location you shop at?:)
Hi Emma, The posts from the 24th and the 26th were from the Barrie, ON. warehouse. Normally I’m at the Kingston, ON. location. Thank you for reading, and I hope to hear from you again!
Thanks again
You are very welcome Karim, thank you very much for reading and for your support!
My turn to say a bug THANK YOU!!! I really appreciate it. It is a lot easier to stay on track and stick to my list when I can add those sale items to the list.

You’re welcome Monica, Thank you so much for reading and for your support! Happy new year!!!
Hey there, meant to ask you what you thought of the tourtière? Was it the PG (Plaisir Gastronomique) brand in a box? Would you serve it to company? I wish Kirkland made one!
thanks, Jan
Hi Jan, I’m fairly certain it’s the brand you’re talking about… Though I didn’t get a good look at the box to be honest. I thought it was pretty darned good. The texture of the meat was nice, as were the spices. The crust was nice and full on the bottom and crispy and slightly flaky on top so a nice contrast in textures) We didn’t have any gravy with ours but I think serving it with a gravy would probably put it over the top and be fantastic! Highly recommend that one. (though try it first before feeding it to company just so you can do a self evaluation, I would though!)
Happy New year Jan!!!
A million thank you’s for your fantastic blog and all the work you do!!! Everything is really appreciated!!! I know I say it often but it is so true. I often tell people about your website and they are always so grateful to find out about it. Best wishes to you and your family xox
