IMPORTANT RECALL NOTICE: Neutrogena® UltraSheer Sunscreen Spray SPF60 3 x 141g Costco Item #1252156
Hello and happy Sunday everybody!
While I hope you are enjoying your weekends and getting some sun, Johnson & Johnson has just issued a voluntary recall of Neutrogena® UltraSheer Sunscreen Spray SPF60 3 x 141g (Costco Item #1252156) due to them having identified low levels of Benzene in some samples of the products, despite it not being an ingredient of the product.
Here’s a little blurb from the Neutrogena.ca website
What is Benzene?
Benzene is classified as a human carcinogen, a substance that could potentially cause cancer depending on the level and extent of exposure. Benzene is ubiquitous in the environment. Humans around the world have daily exposures indoors and outdoors from multiple sources. Benzene can be
absorbed, to varying degrees, by inhalation, through the skin, and orally.
Daily exposure to benzene in these sunscreen products at the levels detected in internal testing would not be expected to cause adverse health consequences.
