When looking for appetizers for the holiday season, these Partini Blueberry Brie Bites caught my attention. They looked quite unique and I haven’t had anything like them so I decided to take a chance and try them. The box comes with 30 blueberry brie bites and I paid $18.99 Canadian for them.
The bites come frozen and need to be kept in the freezer. You can heat the brie bites in either the air fryer or oven, I decided to cook them in the oven and they ended up exploding. I bet they’d probably explode in the air fryer too. It’s frustrating that they exploded because a lot of the filling ended up on the outside. These blueberry brie bites are definitely a finger food/appetizer or party food.
Four bites contain 260 calories, 16 grams of fat, 25 grams of carbohydrates, two grams of fibre, seven grams of sugar, six grams of protein and 75 milligrams of sodium. The ingredients list actually has real blueberries listed instead of artificial blueberry flavor so that’s a positive!
The best part about these blueberry brie bites is that the outside got nice and crispy. The filling isn’t very good, it’s not very flavorful and the texture is a bit of a weird paste. Both the blueberries and brie seemed to lack flavor, there wasn’t much sweetness or tang coming from the blueberries. There’s also a bit of an odd earthy flavor. These aren’t horrible but they’re not something I’d buy again.
