Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kewpie Mayonnaise, Costco Arumi Korean Style Vegetable Pancakes and the Costco Kirkland Signature Organic Hard Boiled Eggs.
If you like my reviews for Costco food products, the best thing is that you can follow me on Instagram or Facebook and tell your friends about my blog Costcuisine, where I review new Costco food products each week! You can also check out my YouTube channel, where I do video reviews!
My husband has a protein shake every morning for breakfast and we’ve tried the Fairlife but those aren’t easy to find so I picked up these Alani Chocolate Protein Shakes to try and review. The case has 12 bottles in it and I paid $19.99 Canadian for the box.
The shakes don’t need to be refrigerated unless they’ve been opened and the best before date is 11 months from when we purchased them. These are really great for a fast, easy meal or snack. I’ve seen people mix the chocolate shakes with their morning coffee to create a mocha which I think is a great idea but haven’t tried it yet.
One shake contains 140 calories, three and a half grams of fat, 10 grams of carbohydrates, three grams of fibre, six grams of sugar, 20 grams of protein and 240 milligrams of sodium. The protein is from milk protein and there’s cream in the shakes so if you’re allergic to milk or lactose intolerant, these aren’t a good option. They are gluten-free and soy-free though!
