Natalie reviews: Le Glacier Bilboquet Mango Sorbet

Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Delici Lemon Meringue Pie and Costco Kewpie Roasted Garlic Onion Dressing & Marinade.

If you like my reviews for Costco food products, the best thing is that you can follow me on Instagram or Facebook and tell your friends about my blog Costcuisine, where I review new Costco food products each week! You can also check out my YouTube channel, where I do video reviews!

We’ve had some nicer weather here lately so I wanted to pick up this new frozen treat I found at Costco. The box comes with 12 frozen mango sorbet bars and costs $14.99 Canadian so they aren’t cheap! Over a dollar per bar. I noticed a lot of the frozen popsicles/treats seem to have gone up in price at Costco.

Each bar is individually packaged and the best before date is about a year and a half from when we purchased them. These are great for a sweet, natural tasting treat. I think kids would enjoy them as much as adults.

One bar contains 70 calories, zero grams of fat, 17 grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibre, 17 grams of sugar, zero grams of protein and 25 milligrams of sodium. The ingredients list is really short and sweet with mango puree being the first ingredient. The amount of sugar is still pretty high per bar but mango is naturally high in sugar!

There aren’t many ingredients in these sorbet bars – mango puree, water, sugar and some different gums that I imagine are used as thickeners. The taste of the sorbet is consistent with that. They taste like frozen, slightly creamy real mangoes. That’s a good thing in my books since I love mangoes! I thought the level of sweetness was just right.

Cost: 5/10

Convenience: 10/10

Nutrition: 2/10 (Points for the mango puree).

Taste: 8.5/10
