Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Tuxedo Chocolate Mousse Cake, Costco Kirkland Signature Variety Mini Donuts and the Kirkland Signature Sweet Heat Snack Mix.

I’m enjoying having pre-dinner snacks on my deck this summer so when I saw this new Imperial Nuts Wasabi Sweet Bar Mix I immediately picked it up to try!
This is a massive 1.07 kilogram container of snack mix! Ideal for camping or being at the cabin with a large group of people. I paid only $9.99 Canadian for it which seems pretty cheap to me!
The mix comes in a big aluminum container and the best before date is just under two years from when we purchased them. This would be great to serve with cocktails at a party, barbecue or get together with friends.
There are 230 calories, 12 grams of fat, 25 grams of carbohydrates, three grams of fibre, 11 grams of sugar, seven grams of protein and 360 milligrams of sodium in a half cup serving. The mix contains soy, wheat, peanuts, almonds, and sesame seeds.
The mix comes with toffee peanuts, almonds, honey roasted sesame sticks, dried cranberries, pretzels and spicy peanuts. I tried each component of the mix on it’s own. The toffee peanuts are extremely sweet and the spicy peanuts are extremely salty. The spicy peanuts actually made me cough when I tried them I found them that spicy. The pretzels are just plain mini pretzels which I enjoyed. The almonds are also just a plain, salted, roasted almond which I also liked. The honey roasted sesame sticks are probably my favorite part, they have a good combination of salt and slight sweetness and are crunchy with a noticeable sesame flavor. The dried cranberries are exactly what you’d expect, just plain dried cranberries. The most unique part of the mix is the wasabi peas. They’re crunchy and definitely taste like wasabi but aren’t that spicy! Wasabi is such a interesting flavor so I liked these but wouldn’t want to eat a ton.
Overall the mix is okay, not my favorite. I find all the different flavors a bit strange combined together. I prefer the Kirkland Signature Sweet Heat Snack Mix over this.
