Natalie reviews: Hampton Farms Honey Peanuts

Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature PInsa and the Costco Vanden Bulcke Petit Melo

I bought these Hampton Farms Sweet Honey Peanuts awhile ago when they were new in the snack section at Costco. The bag weighs 2.5 pounds and I paid $10.99 Canadian for it, which isn’t wildly expensive!

The best before date is about 11 months from when I bought these and the bag reseals to help keep them from going stale. These are great to snack on before dinner or as a snack before bed. They’re pretty sweet so if you’re strictly a salty snack person you might not love these.

The ingredients list isn’t very long and has peanuts and honey as the two main ingredients. In half a cup there are 290 calories, 19 grams of fat, 18 grams of carbohydrates, three grams of fibre, 11 grams of sugar, 10 grams of protein and 110 milligrams of sodium. There isn’t any gluten, dairy or soy listed in the ingredients.

If you like candied nuts especially peanuts, you’ll like these. They’re very sweet at first bite but once you chew them the peanut flavor comes through and the peanuts are actually pretty fresh tasting! There’s a hint of salty flavor but it’s mostly sweet. These are nice and crunchy and are absolutely addictive, they’re simple but if you know you like sweet nuts or peanut butter honey sandwiches, you’ll love them.

Cost: 7.5/10
