Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Grass-Fed Beef Sticks and the Costco Dr.Praegers Pizza Stars.

I’ve tried the ChocXO Almond Butter, Passion Fruit and Dark Chocolate Coconut Cups so when I saw this new coconut caramel cookie flavor I decided to pick up a bag to try. I paid $15.99 Canadian for the 450-gram bag.

Each chocolate cup is individually packaged which is nice for sharing or packing them in your lunch, purse, backpack or car. The expiry date is about seven months from when I bought them. This is a Canadian company.

In one dark milk chocolate caramel cookie cup there is 80 calories, six grams of fat, seven grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, five grams of sugar, one gram of protein and 10 milligrams of sodium. The chocolate cups have milk and soy in them and may have peanuts and tree nuts.

I can’t say I love this flavor. There’s no distinct caramel or coconut flavor. I also find the filling has an odd flavor, it reminds me of cheap chocolate that’s really old. There’s no cookie in the filling, just a bit of crunchy crumbs on top of the cups, which gives some crunchy texture but not much flavor. I get some texture from shredded coconut too but really didn’t notice a strong coconut flavor. I probably wouldn’t buy this kind again. I have enjoyed the other ChocXO products though!
