Welcome to the Costco Weekend Sales Update where I’ll keep you in the loop on the awesome sales & new items Costco releases for the Weekend!
***This is a fan-run, independent page with no affiliation or endorsement by Costco Wholesale***
Please note:
The price at your local Costco takes precedent (or precedence) over the prices listed on this blog.
Costco liquidation/Manager’s Special items (ending in .97) vary from store to store.
An asterisk (*) on the price tag means the item is not being re-ordered.
If there is something you really want, ***double-check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.
Of course there are plenty of new things to look at, but the biggest new items for those of us in Ontario will be the beer & wine!
Now our warehouse (Kingston) only has one aisle so the selection is limited, but that’s alright with me. It’s not the biggest warehouse, so only so much room to fit stuff in.
There’s some new LEGO botanical sets in this week, and at 29.99 it’s gonna be hard to not grab one of them…
Of course the poinsettia is more seasonally appropriate, but the Plum blossom looks like it might be a better fit with the Orchid I have already… Not that I would complain about any of them though!
There’s some new Apple airpods in the warehouse, though they are not the small ones!
I’m sure they sound great, but certainly not low profile!
I’m obviously a big food/drink guy, so gadgets catch my attention. This one certainly did, but I’m on the fence about it…
As a bartender there is nothing cooler than the large “king” cue of ice, and having a large ice sphere looks even the more impressive. So I suppose under the right conditions having something like could make sense. But I’d think more in an actual bar setting. I couldn’t see needing 82 ice spheres a day.. Then again, we all have different needs and who am I to judge?
I’m also a sucker for the classic board games, so seeing these deluxe classics is always a treat.
Being on big rotating wood cabinets with integrated storage is a bonus as well.I’ll wait for a sale to happen and then snag ’em!
It’s time for me to make like a tree and get the hell outta here… (Anyone get the reference??? Bonus points if you did!)
Yes, time to go folks. I hope you have a great night, and I’ll see you tomorrow.
Cheers & I hope you all had a spectacular Halloween as well!
Don’t forget to head over to Cocoquebec.ca to check out what Melissa has got going on in the Quebec region!
Hi Fellow Shoppers: Just a few comments about the booze prices. 1) The base price listed does NOT include HST which is added at checkout. 2) The bottle deposit is also posted as a separate item at checkout. 3) Bottle deposits and all alcohol sales are NOT eligible for the 2% cash back for executive members.
As an example, the Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc selling for $18.99 will cost you $21.46 when you include HST and then add 20 cents for the deposit for a total of $21.66. This wine sells at the LCBO for $21.95. Not a big bargain in my opinion. And lets face it, the selection at the LCBO is much better. There are many good Sauvignon Blancs selling for less than $21.66.
Point 3 is FALSE. Costco posted an announcement and employees confirmed that alcohol purchases DO count towards executive 2% cash back.
The savings are much bigger for beer. Remember that Beer Store prices are now listed the same way as other retailers (pre-tax and deposit). So that is implant to keep in mind when comparing prices. Only LCBO includes taxes and deposit.
Just to give a different perspective of the above commenter, remember that they cherry picked a specific item with low savings, there are some items that are $20+ savings compared to buying at the beer store. Remember that yes, lcbo pricing is all inclusive on their tags/site, beer store is NOT, Costco is also not all inclusive.
Mostly every item carried by Costco carries a saving compared to buying it from lcbo/beer store. I only saw 2 items where it was actually a tad more at Costco for a couple of the wines compared to LCBO. Do your research before buying anything and make sure you factor the appropriate numbers in to see where you are getting them best deal. For some people like myself, it’s better to get it with my groceries than to drive to a separate store.
Finally, according to an employee at Costco, we do in fact get 2% back on alcohol purchases.

You are correct about Point 3. This is a recent (last few days) change by Costco.
