Well I guess the first exciting thing to see at Costco this weekend were the Crocs!
Ummmm, no not those ones… You wouldn’t want to slip your feet into that, but these ones might feel a bit more cozy.
From what I know Crocs are a bit of a divisive show, some people seem to hate ’em and never want to try ’em on, and other people love them. I love them, at least when I was working in kitchens these were the best shoes I ever had. Of course not open toed like this though, you’d never want hot oil splashing on your feet! But I can honestly say they were the most comfortable, easy to clean, and never wore out despite the hours I put in with them. That being said, I don’t think I’d chose to wear them out as a fashion statement, but to each their own.
I picked up this Wahl deluxe kit today, I’d been hoping they would be putting them back on the shelves!
A few weeks ago I got the Barbershop by Conair a few weeks ago thinking it looked pretty good, but to be honest I was a little disappointed by it.
It has all the different attachments, which are nice, but I just found that it isn’t really powerful enough. Sure it’s nice and quiet, but the trimming part of the job didn’t quite get done in my opinion.
Another new item I saw, and one I wished I’d remembered to grab are these Magicbags. (I know, surprise surprise, I’m excited about some new storage bag or container!)
Guess I’m nothing if not predictable folks… Seriously though, these are a great way to store clothing, towels, bedding etc. when they aren’t being used. Think stashing away seasonal clothing, and taking up a fraction of the space! Better that trying to use the food save on some T-shirts right! Well… I guess you could try, I mean they’re on sale!
Kidding, kidding, kidding! Please don’t try that…
Please do try these Crunchy Ketchup Cheetos however!
I have a big weakness for the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, and what could be a more appropriate Canadian cross-over? Course it could be a disaster though… Not all good things work together.
Anyhow, lot’s of great new sales to check out for the weekend folks so dive right in! And let us all know where you stand on the Crocs or no-Crocs debate…I’m curious to see which side you’re on!
See ya later Alligators! Have a great weekend everyone!
Way back in the dimness of time around 2005, a goofy looking sandal named Holey Soles (Canadian company) came out and went head to head with Crocs (US company) I bought 3 pair of the Holeys and still have them. Doctors and nurses were wearing them, great arch support and easy on/off. When I wore them on a trip to Mexico, strangers asked me about them. They were great on the plane for swollen feet and on the beach too…. kinda funky! There were court battles between the two brands and sadly imho Crocs won. Holeys were $20 and Crocs about $30. Now I only wear them at home but still love them!
