If there is something you really want, ***double-check the expiry date*** as some Costco sales items do end mid-week.
Were now only (…checks calendar…) three and a half weeks away from Christmas, how the heck did that happen so fast!?!? So with that in mind it’s time to get the Christmas tree up! We usually grab a real tree, but if you’re looking for something that’s a little less messy, or have allergies, you may want to grab one of these artificial trees while they’re on sale for $100.00 off.
These colour changing bubble lights have been catching my eyes for a while now, and I was waiting for them to go on sale… And here they are, on sale!
I completely forgot to grab them, so I’m going to have to swing back on Sunday and pick them up since the sale ends this weekend!
If you’re Christmas shopping for a puppy or kitty who needs a little cozy hoodie this year, why not deck him or her out in a Kirkland Signature one!
I really have no clue how they got that thing on the cat… My cats would have nothing to do with that!
Maybe it’s just my hunger talking, but the 44th Street beef pot roast looks pretty darned tasty! of course they always make things look so delicious in the pictures, so how could I not be salivating?
Of course there’s nothing green on that plate, so you’d have to add a bit of something to that… How about little mini Kale???
They look pretty cute, and would certainly add some balance to a rich, saucy pot roast.
A new item to my Costco this weekend were these Sweet & Spicy Shrimp, and again, the picture makes these look pretty tasty. Anyone out there given these a try yet? I’ll put them on my list of snacks to have handy in the freezer, right Jan???
Actually before I add anything to the freezer, I think we need to start using up everything that’s in there currently… A deep freezer dive is in order folks…
Anyhow, get your weekend browse on, and I’ll see you soon!
Cheers!
Don’t forget to check in with Rhonda over at the Costco Quebec Fan Blog and see what fun sales are happening there!
You’re right…. those shrimp sure look tasty. I’m partial to the tempura ones since they’re decently (indecently?😏) large but just might have to “audition” these ones. I pick up the 44th Street pot roast whenever it goes on sale. Imho, it’s quite good for a commercial product.
Btw, I asked the bakery folks about the Biscoff Cake. They’re hoping it’ll be in before Christmas. Apparently it’s very good! 🤞
Doing quite well thanks 😊 hope you are too Chris.
If you try the pot roast, may I recommend that when you open one of the plastic pouches that you empty it entirely into a covered casserole for reheating in the microwave, rather than just cutting slits in the pouch. The microwave instructions on the box are waaaay too messy! Prior to heating, I also discard the solidified chunks of white beef fat. It sounds gross but is easy to do and helps to reduce the amount of fat consumed. Hope you like it…. it’s yummy served over mashed potatoes 😋
Thanks for the tips Jan! Although I think I’d leave the fat in, as they say in the kitchen “fat equals flavour!”. I absolutely agree that taking things out of any plastic before heating up is a good idea though, “plastic does not equal flavour!”.

Hmmm, maybe I’ll have to give one of those pot roasts a try? Seems like perfect winter food! Hope you’re well Jan!
