What better time of year to think about eating your fruits and veggies, right?!
We do our best to eat lots of veggies each day, and I used to be really good at eating a ton of fruit… I’ve slipped in recent days though. I’d have to say my favourite fruit is probably blueberries.
I can, and will just eat them by the handful when they’re present, so I guess I should make sure they’re present!
We recently started eating dates in our salads, and they are delicious! Just slicing a few up and tossing them in a salad adds a little bit of sweetness and a lot of body to everything. Absolutely a salad game changer!
Can you ever have too much lemon or lime juice? The answer is a big ‘ol NO! What I like to do is buy a bunch and juice them, and strain them into ice cube trays and freeze ’em. That way I’ve always got some on hand if I need it, and let’s be honest… Nothing beats the taste of home squeezed fruit juice frozen or not! That being said, I’ve always got my eyes on the bags of limes and lemons.
Squash, Squash, Squash!
No that’s not just what my partner says to the kitties when she comes home, that’s also a favourite fall/winter food of ours! Also one I love, to chop up and portion with the FoodSaver! It’s an easy way to keep some of the good stuff ready to go all season!

I shop at Costco quite a bit but I have to say that the vegetable section in my opinion is quite pricey & not always the best quality.
