Prana Protein Overnight Oats Review

Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco No Bread PB & J Mid-Day Squares, the Costco Atelier Cecile Pistachio Chocolate Mousse and the Costco Summ! BBQ Pork Bao Buns.

If you like my reviews for Costco food products, the best thing is that you can follow me on Instagram or Facebook and tell your friends about my blog Costcuisine, where I review new Costco food products each week! You can also check out my YouTube channel, where I do video reviews.

I eat oatmeal with chia seeds at least four times a week but I usually buy all the ingredients seperately to make it. When I saw these new Protein Overnight Oats with Chia at Costco I picked up a bag for mornings I’m in a rush and want to make overnight oats. I paid $12.99 Canadian for the 780 gram bag.

The overnight oats are very easy to whip up, you just combine the oats and water and leave them overnight. The best before date is about a year from when I bought them. The bag reseals which helps keep them fresh. These are great for breakfasts prepared ahead of time that you can just grab and take with you or having quickly in the morning.

In 1/2 cup there is 260 calories, six grams of fat, 41 grams of carbohydrates, eight grams of fibre, 12 grams of sugar, 12 grams of protein and 35 milligrams of sodium. This isn’t the lowest calorie breakfast but at least it has a good amount of protein.

These overnight oats are really quite tasty, they have a nice strong blueberry flavor that almost tastes artificial even though there isn’t any artificial blueberry in them. The texture of the oats is thick after they’ve been sitting. Likely from the chia seeds. The freeze dried blueberries add a nice chewy texture.
