Hello and good evening Costco shoppers!

Yes another week has gone by, and it seems like summer may possibly be thinking about arriving, possibly, maybe, perhaps???

Dexter thinks so, and is enjoying the outside (today at least)

But who knows… Not myself, or Dexter, and certainly not the weather people… I feel bad for them though, I’m sure they don’t like saying “Hey guess what? You, better forget about that!”  know that awesome B.B.Q. you planned with you’re family, better forget that one!” or “remember how you rented that cottage? I hope you like playing board games, cause it’s going to be a torrential downpour the entire week”… Deliver-ers of bad news, not an easy task and I feel for them. Much like the Parking police, they are just doing their jobs. Unfortunately their job entails giving us parking tickets (of which I only have 1 to pay right now, good luck so far this season) and that sucks; but its not their fault I didn’t pay for parking- much like it’s not the weather persons fault for saying “hey, the weather’s gonna suck… I didn’t make the weather- I’m just saying what it’s gonna be” (though they are only right like 60% of the time right?)

Good point Ron Burgundy.

Regardless of the weather I have been checkin’ out these Feit LED string lights for about a month waiting for them to go on sale, and BAM! on sale today for $35.99.

I’m excited to get these hung up somewhere…  They’re LED’s but it’s the nice warm light, not the super bright/cold LEDs that look cold and uncomfortable ya know? I’m all for saving energy, but I don’t want that super bright clinical light kinda thing, no thanks.

Anyhow, it’s a 48 ft. strand of 24 lights which is a pretty generous length and you can connect lots of these together if you need/want to. I’m not an electrician so I won’t try to understand the risks involved in over extending things like that but the box says you can connect up to 45 of these things… So, math. 45 x 48 ft = 2160 ft. That’s a lot of feet, probably more than you or I are going to be lighting up with these. Plus I don’t have $1575.00 to spend on lights.

…I love lamp too Brick, but that’s too many lamps!

This is all just me over exaggerating right now, so disregard that stuff. I love the way these looked and I’ll probably go back and get 1 or 2 more of these before the sale is done (June 30th). I’ve got a few ideas for where these can go, both now, and in the very near future. (plus they say they are weather-proof which is a big bonus) Anyhow, once I get them up I’ll take some pictures. Or if any of you have these (or buy them and put them up) please feel free to show us yours!

Ok, ok, ok…  I’m sure you’re looking for some sales right? well… Scroll down.

I’ll leave you with that. It’s very late, I worked today before my Costco run and I gotta work in the A.M. so I think it’s time for an extended Siesta.

    • Hey Jennifer, no worries! I used to work every Monday before doing this until I switched my schedule around to accommodate my Monday Costco trips. It does make for a long day, but it’s fun regardless!

        • Haha, yes Jennifer… I was working Mondays until 5-ish, then not getting home from Costco until 8 and it takes a few hours at least to get all the editing done and the blog written and posted; all before getting up for work on Tuesday morning! So I decided that it would be easier to work on Saturday morning instead and have Monday off to focus on this blog. And it’s like a big happy Costco family now, I love it!

  1. Thank you so much. It is a very long list this week, it must of been very time consuming. I appreciate your time. Thanks again.

    • Hello Wendy, it takes some time for sure but I love doing it. Nothing a little music and wine or beer can’t help with as well! (plus the weather being nice allows me to do some of it outside, which is great!)
Thank you for reading and supporting!

  2. Thank you for doing this for us. I for one really appreciate it.
Also love seeing all the pictures you post !

    • Thank you Doreen, I’m glad you enjoy! Thank you for reading and for you support! Don’t worry, there will always be new pictures!

  3. Good morning…. coffee & Cocoeast! I almost feel like I know you a bit. Almost. ?
Hope you managed a ton o’ ? Thanks for all your efforts on our behalf, it really is appreciated!

    • Hello Jan! Hope you had a great week. Didn’t catch too many as I had work in the morning, so I’ll catch up on a few more tonight. Thank you for always reading and for being a part of this, this is indeed our Costco family!

  4. Hey.. good luck with your lights. We were just at a BBQ where a friend has used them and they were indeed really nice. Provides more than enough light but they are not harsh at all. Also he had the solar garden lights as well. Amazing.. I’ll be looking to purchase a box of those soon. I believe he said they were 5 to a pack. Keep up the great work.. I really look forward to your blog every week..

    • Thank you Carolyn, I’m excited to get the lights going for sure. As for the solar garden ones I don’t remember off the top of my head how many are in a pack, but I’ll see if I can find them on Thursday. Thank you very much for reading, I look forward to hearing you next week!

    • Hey Mark, I think the post went up a bit later than usual so the email notifications may not be sent out until tonight. That being said you can always count on me posting on Monday so you can always just head over to the site to check the post out… I do it every Monday, you can count on it!
Thanks for reading and your support!

    • Oh nice Kristina, what were the items?? I need to make sure I do that more often, I seem to forget every week… I guess because I’m there so much it slips my mind!

  5. Awww Dexter. Looks like life is treating you well! Thanks for posting. Diapers/wipes sales this week—a necessity in our house! ??

  6. Thank you for your help. I can send my husband with a list. And that is what he buys. If I go the cart gets filled and the credit card gets hit hard. Brenda

  7. Facebook post says it was posted 18 hours ago but it just showed up a bit ago, email one has not been received as yet. Wonder why it takes so long to show up on Facebook

  8. As always, thank you! I thought it strange to not get an email as well, glad it wasn’t just me. Hope we will get to see pictures of your lights when you have them up. Dexter certainly looks relaxed, but he might need a little pillow so he doesn’t get a sore neck ?

  9. Thank you so much for doing this. I really appreciate your time and support. I look forward to your email Monday night lol.

  10. fyi – My e-mail only arrived at 2:15 am today, Wednesday
Always enjoy seeing what is on special, had 2 trips there recently and spent way too much money! Thanks for taking the time to do what you do.

  11. Thank you for all that you do! We would all be blind to what else is on sale during the weeks if you did not do this, or we would have to travel to Costco weekly, which is not a hop, skip and a jump for me. It’s approx 45 mins away from where I live. You are appreciated.
    Thank you
    Kathy

  12. Thank you from someone who doesn’t regularly shop at Costco. Appreciate the fact that you take the time and effort to do these trips for us.

  13. Hello , I have recently found your impressive amount of work that you do each week, signed up for your emails, then find out I’m moving to BC, east of the mountain the mountains. Now I have to find out if someone out there has a much energy as you. Thank you for what you do! It helps so much.

    • Hey there Tracy, thank you very much! And yes once you’re situated out West you can got to http://www.CocoWest.ca to see what the secret sales are there as well. My counterpart handles the West coast, so you should enjoy his blog as much as mine!

  14. Thanks for the wonderful posts every week… and thanks to you, I spend MUCH MUCH more at Costco… the hidden deals always get me.
But have saved me tons of money too, as there are sales on items that I bought at full price, I didn’t realize were on sale.
Side note for anyone looking at the Canon camera, Bestbuy has the same camera on sale this week for $429… however, unknown if Costco’s includes a kit, like usual, as well, can’t beat the Costco warranty and return policy!

  15. Love reading your write-ups!
Some great buys this week. The Honest Company Shampoo (which is what we use here) is an awesome buy! That price is what I normally pay for one small 296 ml bottle! I may have to venture the trek into Barrie (ugh traffic) just for that (and maybe a “few” other things).

    Thanks again!

  16. Someone I garden for has those lights in their backyard all along her fence. In the fall I could work longer. They really add extra light & seem to last.

  17. Hi,
Along with everyone else, thanks for all the work you put into the post. Looking forward to seeing some of your own recipes posted this summer . Sounds like you will be very busy but I love your pics of meals that you make and ideas for dinner.
Of course I love the cat pics too.
    Thanks again.

  18. So went to London stores for the feit light strings. Still regular price, boo. Hate that there is inconsistency between stores especially all in the east.

    • Hi Silvana, that’s great; I’m glad to hear I’m keeping you on track; Costco can be a bit overwhelming at times!
If you go to http://www.cocoeast.ca at the top right of the main page there is a place for you to enter your email and subscribe.

    • Thank you very much Kim, I’m happy to say that I’m actually taking 3 days off to be with family! Amazing right?!?! Thank you for reading and your support, I hope you have a fun & safe long weekend as well.

  19. Are you able to share which Costco location(s) you are visiting so we know where the deals are? We have been waiting for the Feit String Lights to go on sale but they are regular price at the locations in Toronto I checked this week!

Thanks for doing the blog, it’s fantastic!

  20. We bought a set of lights last year a and they are great – went to Ottawa/Barrhaven today and still regular price. ?
    Thanks for your great work.

  21. Hi there! First, thanks SO much for doing this. Costco is a bit of a hike for us, and with the kids grown up and moved out (for now) we don’t need to stock up regularly, but I still love to see the sales! Last night we specifically went for the string lights and printer. Unfortunately our location (Peterborough) did not have the lights on sale, but I still thought the regular price was a great deal so bought them anyway. Hubby was super excited to get his drumsticks and Oreos too!! Definitely worth the trip! Thanks!!!
